apparently i can not get any part for a famas, i have asked several retailers/suppliers ... none have come back to me

Did you try ask Julien at Pulse Japan? He's the go to guy for hard to get parts for Jaypanese guns. Then again,It seems marui is starting to close support on the Famas since parts are hard to find even in Japan :/
