With the war ongoing since 2014 and the direct involvement of Russian SF units throughout, in hindsight it isn't great. But the full scale invasion in 2022 was the turning point mainly for peoples attention span - I remember reading an article in 2020 or 2021 that questioned whether it was right for British companies to supply the Ukrainian side after a British-manufactured rifle was spotted in a video recorded in a Ukrainian position. Think we soon got our answer on that one, but most people were turning such a blind eye to the morality of the ongoing conflict to allow it to escalate in the first place.
Ironically the KMCS suits now show up on Ukrainian forces. The Stalker suits are still using the same Russian (SOKL manufacture) design and from my understanding these continue to be made in Russia despite several Russian military clothing brands moving their production to China. SOKL's 'Olja' design is marketed by Stalker as 'Alder'. The 'Taiga' name stays the same between the two although Stalker's version is no longer based on the Finnish M05 camo, not sure about if its SOKL counterpart made the same change.
