Because it’s declared as a RIF, it’s almost impossible to avoid customs fees. The RIF is inspected to make sure it complies with VCRA06, then they look at the paperwork and charge you.Nice. From Impulse? Did you manage to avoid customs fees which meant you got it quicker? Mine is sitting at my local depot but they won't let me pay the fees yet![]()
Yeah. Fair enough. It's just so annoying when you used to be able to call up and pay once you knew it was at your depot and now you have to wait for a slip in the post. They've gone backwards in efficiency and technology.
I encountered the same issue as you. So I decided to call Parcel Force for updates. After waiting for two hours—yes, a full two hours—they told me I just needed to go to the PFW center where the parcel was held to pick it up myself. Bring your photo ID and proof of address; usually your driver's license will suffice. Their efficiency is truly abysmal—it feels like they're forcing us to go there ourselves to pay customs duties and retrieve our parcels. You can put your tracking number in to get how much you owe and pay that way, although when I did it a few days ago their website kept giving me an error. Not sure if it’s just me or in general though? That being said, I paid my duty fee Friday and it’s still “pending payment” which is annoying
Bloody hell. I gave up after being on the phone for just over an hour.I encountered the same issue as you. So I decided to call Parcel Force for updates. Yeah, I gave up long ago with phoning them. You’re supposed to be able to pay customs charges online using the tracking no but their website was down over the weekend.
I happened to be in the area so chanced it and picked up my parcel. Otherwise I’d probably still be waiting for the tax letter![]()
Since it’s a TM I wouldn’t change anything apart from maybe inner barrel and hop parts. Also since it’s a brand new model it’s hard to know its weaknesses yet.I've had the honor to bring with me from my trip in japan to my house in italy the new glock 19 gen 5 MOS and some new magazines on the day-one in japan.
Since I'm new to the gbb world, do you have any advice on how to improve the reliability of the glock, like mechanical parts?
I already have tm AEG items and i know some part are fragile because it's plastic or weak metal, since the glock are rare to find out i want to be sure the gun it's reliable as possible and prevent usless inconvinient.
I’ve honestly become obsessed with this pistol lately. Took it to a CQB game on Sunday and managed a 10-kill streak with it — I genuinely don’t have the words to describe how good it feels to run.View attachment 13451
Small update:
The g19 frame accepts G17.5 Magwell. I’ve tried 3 of them and most of them need slight modification to the Magwell so it doesn’t press on the magazine.
Also, the plight PL-X fits nicely on the G45/G19
So I’ve done a bit of testing and Magwell wise, you can fit the bomber TTI Magwell or the JDG Magwell. For the JDG Magwell you’ll have to shave some of the Magwell flare on the grip as it squeezes the mag on insertion which causes problems.I’ve honestly become obsessed with this pistol lately. Now I’m seriously tempted to throw some serious money at it, but I’m not sure where to start. A magwell is definitely on the list — do you have any recommendations?
Would you change the inner barrel and hop rubber at this stage, or leave them stock? Or is there something else you’d prioritise first?
By the way, I really enjoy your YouTube content — I think I’ve officially turned into a Marui Glock addict at this point![]()
There’s nothing you need to do. Leave it stock. The slide is made of a carbon fibre polymer so it will survive indefinitely as long as you’re not putting high powered gas through it.I've had the honor to bring with me from my trip in japan to my house in italy the new glock 19 gen 5 MOS and some new magazines on the day-one in japan.

Ah gotcha mateSo I’ve done a bit of testing and Magwell wise, you can fit the bomber TTI Magwell or the JDG Magwell. For the JDG Magwell you’ll have to shave some of the Magwell flare on the grip as it squeezes the mag on insertion which causes problems.
I’ve fitted a TTI hop unit (g19/gen5 variant) and a nineball power barrel with a PF hop rubber. There’s nothing wrong with the stock tm barrel and hop rubber, I keep them as spares. But you’ll get a much better grouping on the TTI hop unit. I only use the nineball barrel to increase muzzle energy. The TM stock barrels are GOAT and you won’t find many options that are as good.
I’d also recommend the guarder lightweight blowback unit to further improve gas efficiency.
If you’re running after market mags or a metal slide. The Proarms 130% nozzle springs are also worth while.
