TM MP5 NGRS Owners

This may have been sorted earlier, but I cannot find the resolution to the issue in the post.

My MP5 throws a red light every 3 to 4 shots in the dry fire mode/bolt stop mode, on a 1100mah 20cc 7.4v lipo.

Any suggestions on what I could do before taking it to a shop?
The Marui LIPO for the MP5 is 35C. try another battery with a higher C rating. For info some batteries are listed as 20C but in reality are actually 1/2 that.

Most likely that's what's happening, you could look inside for white marks.

Yep, Airsoft tolerances and all that. The longer the suppressor, the more likely it is to not actually line up properly.

Cheers both of you.

Mine started to do the same thing not long ago and battery charger struggles to charge it without error messages so I'd say that's a battery issue. Probably damaged cables or cells. It's not difficult to ruin it it's so little space in the handguard.

Any one else run into feeding issues with certain BBs

Only just got mine and had nothing but issues. Using some bios that I’ve not used before so I’m hope if it’s just that.
Initially slight forward pressure on the bottom of the mag helped but now it’s just random whether it will feed on not.

I'm using marui perfect hit .25s and they seem to work nicely. Good feed, consistancy and accuracy. That said they aren't cheap but they are what most marui aegs are designed around. Definitely work well with the NGRS series.

BIOs often aren't as good as non bio BBs especially if they aren't a good brand.

Personally i will not use bios in any of my rifles

Does anyone know/has anyone tried a VFC retractable stock on their MP5? I can't find a replacement Marui one and hoping a VFC might fit...

The solid stock fits but the sliding stock for the gbb has a buffer etc in it.  I'll try it later when I get chance

The trouble is my local site insists on bios, so I need to find some that are half decent and feed reliably ?

Any luck with the retractable stock? I have the original Marui butt and the whole locking module itself, I just don't have the two bars which retract...

If they fit, at least I can try moving them over to the TM parts...

Oh good point I'll try it when I go upstairs in a bit

Think I may have found the actual reason I’ve been having feeding issues with my RIF.
After watching a disassembly video of

the NGRS MP5, I noticed that mine is missing the spring that fits over the inner barrel and puts pressure on the hop unit when the outer barrel is installed.

There is small amount of free play back and forth without it and I think may be causing misalignment with the feed lips on the mags.

Any idea where I might be able source a replacement?

I've got a broken control board in my SD6. Has anyone replaced their mosfet with a 3rd party one?

Just incase anyone interested, the MP5 ngrs pulls around 15A continuous on full auto without firing bbs with a 8.4V Nimh. I was thinking of installing a switch so I don't have to remove the battery everytime.

Can I please ask a question as an absolute newbie to this gun and the AS world generally?

I've just purchased one of these TM MP5 NGRS and it's being delivered next week. I know absolutely nothing at the moment about batteries, the connectors or chargers.

I'm not looking for anything budget, so can anyone advise as to the best battery that fits into the factory foregrip on these and the connector required? I would also appreciate any advise on the best chargers - I am looking to add an AEG assault rifle to my collection in the near future so want something that can service all LiPo etc. Complete beginner sorry!

Any advise would be awesome and gratefully received ?
