Or as we say in the classifieds, "like new".Gearbox shredded itself, missing the special svu suppressor/muzzle brake, charging handle dust cover missing and dovetail mount covered in JB weld because one of the rails snapped off
Very nice; welcome to the SD club!Just bought this Cyma MP5SD6 Platinum Gen.2 of JVacation here on AF-UK.
Lovely RIF, quite heavy, but can't resist that SD6 look.

now to resist the "buy loads of bits for it" temptation
Internal only I hope. Imo the vanilla SD is the best looking
You will fail.
I was hoping to find a rubberised handguard since this one is solid plastic, and maybe a claw mount for a sight, but I'm tempted to leave it as irons

Oh awesome thanksI remember looking for a rubber one rather than the plastic one that came on my Cyma MP5SD. I never got around to changing mine before I sold off a lot of my RIFs, including the MP5SD but I think I found the right part here on Tiger111HK. Luckily I still had the bookmark saved. IDK if it's an exact part - I was going to gamble on it as I couldn't find one anywhere else.
Nice, How are you getting on with it? I'm part way through putting a PDIK into my SL8 and didn't realise at first just how much material I need to remove from the gearbox shellI ran my cyma based SD at the weekend too for the first time. I managed to wrestle a mancraft hpa engine in there - sooooo very quiet!
Hmm, there isn't much info out there on whether this fits.I remember looking for a rubber one rather than the plastic one that came on my Cyma MP5SD. It was relatively straightforward - I picked up the mancraft second hand, complete with the mancraft PDIK gearbox. So i just needed to swap out the nozzle and trigger for it to theoretically fit in the MP5. It then turned out that the cymas fake bolt (the bit that retracts to allow you to change the hop through the ejection port) was fouling the top of the gearbox, so I filed down the cyma part quite extensively rather than the gear box (I didn't want to cause fitment issues in any other guns that i might later want to swap the gearbox into). Alignment wasn't too much of an issue, I used some self adhesive pads to give it a few very subtle nudges. And played with endless hop rubbers to find out the best one that works with it.Nice, How are you getting on with it?
