The 'What have you just bought' Thread

One thing to think about spending a bit extra on is a decent sling; Blue Force VCAS, Ferro Slingster, Magpul etc. Don't trust keeping your £600 RIF safe on a £5 sling
I'm using a single point sling on my scar just now which has not let me down and im intending to use with my new precious, but I here you loud and clear Diddy.

Only time I take my hand of a rifle is for a quick transition to a pistol.

Out of curiosity, I see you've not attached a sling to the mauri supplied point on the stock tube. Is that a weak point to sling the rifle from?

1x Warhead Industries High Speed 36k black (long)

1x Warhead Industries High Speed 36k black (short)

Because fuck money, right?
As I know Ben one of the owners of Warhead I can happily say you won’t be disappointed as they are monumental motors and I can guarantee that him and the other guys have put their entire hearts and souls in to the business as their all dedicated players themselves . ?

Not sure about the sling plate on the stock tube being a weak point, but my sling goes from QD point on the replacement PTS EPS stock to a BFG sling mount on the rail. Solid as dicks mate ?

Cheers Diddy. I must admit I may be adding a CTR stock to the gun but the one you have on is a looker ?

It's a good job the misses and me have bought a new house...means I need to restrain myself and NOT buy airsoft kit like there's no tomorrow lol

You lost me at 'restrain myself.' ?

The EPS stock is great for battery space but I do like a CTR. I have one on my MWS.

If you're going to run one on an AEG, I think you need to remove some material from the rubber pad to allow battery storage, so may be worth getting the thicker .70 butt pad.

I needed a couple of new batteries, the Titan Li-Io 3,000 mAh are my current faves but out of stock everywhere in the UK at a fair price, then I randomly came across these...

... at such a good price!

Fingers crossed they behave identically.

  • Received a replacement PTS Radian Raptor charging handle since they sent the wrong colour
  • also bought another mws Block 1 Magazine

I'm looking for a minimalistic slim stock to finish the black and tan setup for my MWS CQBR. Anyone know if the TM's odd, non Mil-Spec buffer tube will have problems fitting other buttstocks?

Just ordered a RATech wood kit for my TM AKM ?

fingers crossed I can use the RS akm cleaning rod with it

I bought a clone Vortex SPARC Solar red dot from Skirmshop.co.uk and it’s actually pretty good.

In these pics it’s mounted on a Daniel Defense mount, but it comes  with great copies of the high and low mounts from Vortex.

The sight looks great, parallax error is good, the solar panel works (though unless you’re in bright sunlight it’s dim, so shooting from the dark into bright sunlight not so easy on solar power only).
