The 'What have you just bought' Thread

My wallet has taken a pounding yet again yet it's all to make my life so much easier.

My recent haul is two things.

1* Odins Innovation M12 Sidewinder

1* TRMR E1 Grenade

1* TRMR E1 Multi-shot base

100* .209 primers

I can now make things go bang and reload my recent PTS EPM's much faster!

Just a heads up on the Odin. Check the clutch isn't too tight. It must slip when the mag is full. Mine didn't and as a result it stripped the inner mechanism. Thankfully replacement parts are being shipped, but I just assumed out of the box it should work perfectly. But apparently that nut in the middle may be too tight.

I got a new torch delivered today.

My old torch (pictured with the silver tip) started acting up and didn't have a pressure switch. So instead of putting up with it like a philistine, it had to go.

I must say, what I thought would be a two minute job to tidily route the pressure switch cable through the keymod rail turned into a right ballache.

Lots of amalgamation tape was used!

But my favourite thing about my torch is..

IT'S GREEN!

Looks super cool. And doesn't annihilate my dark-vision like a white torch does.

Plus the green doesn't pierce the dark quite like a white torch, so hopefully I won't illuminate entire corridors at the mall when I shine the torch on the floor to look for the mag I dropped! :)

So now when I see a green light I know it's you... likewise when you see a red one that'll probably be me :D

I just recieved a tnt aps-x 380mm hop up system kit for my kc-02/asg stc, from milspec  B)

I added a Nuprol Viper suppressor - super cheap and I like the look. The internals are a bit strange. A spring and two bits of foam that aren't exactly a good fit. But for a tenner I'm not complaining.

I also added a Red/Green dot sight from an eBay seller. £25 so wasn't expecting much. But fits the job nicely. I can even run it with my iron sights and out of the box didn't need zeroing  ;)  The batteries it came with were dead when I can back to it an hour later, but I'm sure I powered it off. Good job I have a stock of the tiny AG3's it uses. It has various patterns to choose from, but no brightness setting.

The seller has lots of different styles for £20 and up. I went quick release so that took it to £25. My brother got a slightly larger fixed version for £20.

well, after 12 days of waiting my new PDW finally arrived. my choice was either spend £60 on rentals for the next two months to get my ukara or spend £70 on a little package gun.

Its a Dboys PDW full plastic version. wont lie it does feel like certain parts would break but the main body feels pretty good for a cheap aeg and i will say im looking forward to getting into a game with it.

Finally bought myself a back-up gun (from the forum Classifieds).  It worked well last weekend in the woods, and being TM means that I can share magazines between recoil guns.

Thanks Spaz!

Going to have the GBB Raider stripped and cleaned by the end of the night, see if we can't sort her out! :)

I hope you don't mind if I don't keep the .12 camoflauge Bulldog BBs though ;)

The original idea was primarily related to locking the bolt back when necessary to clear a double feed or other obstruction, the bottom part of the control in question on a standard AR is pretty tiny as weapon controls go.  The speeding up of the bolt release whenever needed was a bonus side effect (according to the designers).

In airsoft it's the other way around really since you'll reload often but rarely need to deliberately lock the working parts to the rear.  That's been my experience at least.
