Oopsies!  Bit of an impulse purchase...
Umarex HK416 A5 GBBR.

It's my first gas rifle.  Let's see if I can get by with 30 rounds instead of 300 in a mag ;]

I've chucked the sight and grip on there... looks like the sight could come off the riser mount tbh.   And I might change for a longer, or angled grip.  
But I think it does look rather smart, always had a soft spot for the looks of the 416

Been a while since I last posted here due to work/Covid/kids etc.

just recently getting back into it, and have came back with a bang! Added a SAI Blu (again) an EMG Combat Master and a KWA Mod 1 in December…..then TM released the NGRS SD6 and well I kinda had to pre-order that too! ETA is mid-feb, fingers cross it all goes smoothly!

Picked up a Multicam JPC 1.0 and some Lindnerhof pouch replicas off the forum, working towards a 2014 KSK kit; first time i've been pretty happy with my PC setup

It's the G&G GEC36 from Action Hobbies boneyard, so a decent price.  Two mid cap mags.

Blimey this gun is built solidly!  It's about the same weight as my HK416.  Really nice polymer (plus metal in the right places).  Not the faintest hint of a creak from it, even the folding stock doesn't budge a millimetre.

I think I could beat a stegosaurus to the death with it!    Which is handy, as it's still Tamiya wired so I've not fired it yet.   No dino-hunting for me, until the soldering iron can be found...

Edit: Deans fitted (took me longer to find the soldering iron than anything else), the guns a peach.   340fps on 0.20s, very nice 18rps on an 11.1v
I'll have to fit a MOSFET on it to protect the trigger contacts as this another gun I don't want to open the gearbox of, in case I spoil it somehow.

I'm afraid I made old Jeff a bit richer by using Amazon.  I think I was spoiled for choice due to my child sized hands, less oddly tiny appendaged folks might struggle. 

Gotta get and play with all this gear I keep buying now! ?

Fo my son birthday I got some extra mags for his TM hicapa so he can now run a pistol only build.

He will get HPA setup soon as well.

The P90 pouch is to store a gas can as it's the perfect size, I have use one for years.

The holster goin back as it's retention is so crap.

P90 pouch as a gas can holder?  I like that, I like that a lot!  Just made an order from Patrolbase, I'll see if they've got one I can add in.   (Edit: out of stock, damnit)
It'll save me buying mini-cans I can fit in my existing pouches

That seems to have an internal divider - do you just cut it out, or will the can fit regardless?

Barrel arrived after nearly 2 months of the most stupid airsoft retailer service I’ve experienced, to top it off the barrel was delivered IN A BAG, seriously what is wrong with people! luckily it’s straight but it has a dent in the end, thanks Airsoft Direct, won’t be buying there again.

I generally put swiss cheesed aluminium tube up through the centre of them, then you can pack whatever foam you like around it.

wont to much to absorb sound, but to be fair- most of the noise from that comes from the actual mechanics working of the gbbr system and gas escaping through the ejection port when recoiling
