The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Once you've handled one in reality you'll realise it's not great....

I once got a blister from the pistol grip rubbing on my right hand, on the webbing between my thumb and first finger. It is NOT ergonomic at all, M4 pistol grips are lovely compared to them.
It is, i have used for weeks at a time (exercises and operations in cadets nothing special!). Amazing rifle. Everyone at me section says its amazing guess its just not for everyone!

Not really. The L85's nothing fancy, it's like the AK of the Western world.....I'd like to handle AUGs or G36s, the G36 is a lot better quality.

The Bren and Sten look horrible because they were produced so cheaply......the No4 Enfield is the nicest looking out of the 3 although the L42 sniper's variant looks very nice IMO.

Had a deactivated MK2 Bren and MK5 Sten back in the 90s. The Bren is a heavy beast. MK5 Sten am bestest luking one IMO, nice wooden stock and pistol grip (mine was 1949 dated iirc without the front detachable wood grip), wish I still had them!

Went to an awesome museum where there was a bloke talking about all the guns (he had them there in the metal!!) . Angry birds must have been more interesting for a bunch of other kids so I was there on me tod, and he let me touch and hold and dry fire them all!!!!!I was soooo happy! They were the Mp40, Thompson smg, lee Enfield short magazine, sten and the Bren...

Sooo happy!!

Good stuff! A museum that lets you hold their prized exhibits, kudos to them!

Been putting the finishing articles into my Woodland Vegetato loadout, this months purchases have been:-

Woodland Vegetato Plate Carrier, all the way from Austria in less than 4 days! & a Viper Assault helmet in green. Just waiting on the green goggles and then my load out is fully complete!
Very nice! Looks awesome mate ^_^

Fobus GL-3 Glock 20/21 holster

A DPM Bergen - not sure on the capacity, enough springs to mind, and the yoke to turn the side pouches into a pack!

Helikon combat shirt and elbow pads in Polish Woodland - love my CPU shirt but my loadout really needs a tucked in shirt and the CPU shirt is such tough material it is a bit bulky to tuck in to my trollies

Mil-Tec Rigger in Olive - I loved my Helikon belt but after falling on the buckle in a night game it snapped and meant I was holding my pouches and trousers up with my hands most the night so trying a metal buckle for durability.

The tacvest. Arrived a week ago but never got 'round to taking a picture. Pistol holster is a bit awkward, but it's universal so I'm not too fussed (and the Tokarev is sorta small, wobbles a bit). It's got 4 pistol mag pouches, 3 on the top left, one on the topside of the holster. Room for my 2 spare mags, a speed loader, and a mars bar. Sorted. It has 2 M4 pouches, but I don't have an M4. They're elasticated and can fit things a bit larger in it (hence the Red Bull), and actually fit Warrior L96 mags pretty perfectly so I'm more tempted to finally get around to fixing it. Has a top pocket where the velcro spot is, could fit a phone or probably a couple extra pistol mags in there (but there's plenty of room for them already).

The fit is quite nice, I'm bloody tiny so I've got it the smallest it'll go, but with adjustment it can go from a perfect fit on me to a perfect fit on my 6'3 gymaholic cousin in a few minutes, so they weren't lieing about one size fitting most. The adjustment process is a tad fiddly, though you get used to it pretty quickly.

All in all pretty damn good for 30 quid, nice fit, hardly any bulk, plenty of storage space. Noice. Holster's also removable incase I get sick of it.
