Yeah, so i understood correctly, thanksOn a standard gun the HSB drops in with no adjustment.
If you run much higher power and/or a lightweight bolt you may also need to unscrew 1 turn.
Just as a suggestion you could try if you have a spare to shorten the spring in front of the npas to reduce the gas required before the valve closes and the excess is used to cycle the action?Okay guys, so up to the next problem.
I've read in this tread that buffer tube cap unscrewing itself is no big deal and i should use loctite... What loctite do you suggest me using? Low or medium power?
Another problem I also ran into yesterday was with G&P 5.0 NPAS nozzle:
In my setup the gun is shooting too hot, field limit for non dmr's is around 425FPS, i was trying to set up my MTR to shoot at 393FPS but it is practically impossible for me to do that with only trying to set up NPAS. I can set it up to have a consistent 380-387FPS or 410FPS , and I would be fine with 410 FPS but it randomly shoots up to 442FPS which is way over my field limit and would judges wont let me field my gbbr![]()
I thought that this is probably of NPAS screw getting too loose, so i loctited it with medium strength loctite, but still, its either 387 or 410 FPS with random 1-2 shots with +10 FPS.
So my question to you is what can i do to loose ~10FPS ? I would like to go for ~400FPS on my build for summer games.
I've got a Guns Modify 150% Nozzle Reset Spring Set installed, in my G&P reinforced nozzle set, so i've wondered if i would change the spring which is holding nozzle in place to a standard one, would it lower my FPS?
so in theory this should help with gas consistency? will it affect FPS?Just as a suggestion you could try if you have a spare to shorten the spring in front of the npas to reduce the gas required before the valve closes and the excess is used to cycle the action?
i used blue (medium) loctite for end cap and for screw too.Okay guys, so up to the next problem.

Awesome! What brand tape do you recommend to secure it to the upper?I’ve been having way too much fun here. Let me explain......
So, I wanted to try out a Unity mount on the MWS and wasn’t sure if I’d want to spend £200 on the real deal. I mean what if I didn’t like it? It’s a lot of money to spend on a real steel mount especially if you don’t like it afterwards. So fortunately Unity provide a template which you can download and create a mock up model of the mount. So guess what I did. Yup. Craft time ?
Whatcha think fellas? Cerakote it? ?.
On a serious note the mount is pretty tall. It’s a 2.26inch variant which gives you a better shooting position when looking down the barrel.
So based on this would you buy one?

I bought it and love it. It just takes a little to get use to as it does change your sahooting position for the better!
If you have a spare moment can you lob up a pic of it on one of your RIF's. And are you using any magnification with your optic? Thx
I’m trying not to look at that hole where the screw should be in the rail. Damn Ocd. ?
Just so that you can sleep better tonight: replacement screw is in the post from HAO ?I’m trying not to look at that hole where the screw should be in the rail. Damn Ocd. ?
The mount does look good! I’m warming to it truth be told. The PTS version is supposed to be a very good licensed replica as you already know from having one. Thanks for the pics. Appreciated.
Sorry mate, your right it won't help with consistency it will just increase the FPS. I should have read your post more carefully.so in theory this should help with gas consistency? will it affect FPS?
Its okay dude, i wanted to decrease the fps a lil bit, thanks for the tip, but can you clarify, what you suggested to do it will help with gas consistency?Sorry mate, your right it won't help with consistency it will just increase the FPS. I should have read your post more carefully.
Nothing, I totally mis read your post. What I was getting at was lengthening the valve spring in the nozzle should cause the valve to close slower (in theory) and increase FPS and conversely shortening it should close faster and decrease FPS.Its okay dude, i wanted to decrease the fps a lil bit, thanks for the tip, but can you clarify, what you suggested to do it will help with gas consistency?
