THE TM MWS thread

Hey guys,

Quick question. I have a hpa tapped mag for my tm m4 gbb now. Therefore, I have 6 tm original gas mags and 2 iron airsoft Pmags for sale. How much do you guys think I should sell them for?

I'd say if there in good condition then £30 all-day mate.

Just finished doing the green gas mod to my 3 new mags, forgot how annoying the springs were; one nearly took my eye out.

Those springs are a nightmare.

Still, the TM MP7 ones like to destroy your followers if you accidentally let them fly changing the mag gaskets or feed lips.

Im trying to hold off buying another 2 TM mags. My P mags are alright, and feed okay. Trying to convince myself 6 mags are enough.

SO, question I wanna ask, what set up do you guys use when you run the MWS? I run normally a Molle belt with a harness, my last belt broke under the weight, but it was a cheap bulldog one.

Im planning on running  plate carrier now. So the weight is on my chest, rather than my hips. Doesnt help when you have a bad back as well.

the belt wouldn’t have done much help for your back unless it was sitting dead on your waist.

I use a plate carrier and frag belt.

I have been running with only 4 mags now I’m stepping up to 7 I’ve got a plan for placement.

3 across the front of my plate carrier, 2 on the right side cumberbund (under my right armpit and then a single on my belt on the left. However for a battlesim tomorrow I’m having 6 across the front as I haven’t got a double and single stanag pouch yet. Doesn’t feel too bad when you even the weight out with 3litres of water on the back.

I use a plate carrier, and belt. 3 mags on the front of the PC, 2 on the right side, 1 on my belt and 1 in the gun.

Not a chest reg exactly but the Tactical Tailor MAV 2 are great bits of kit, especially if you get the additional optional yoke.

As above running balanced weight on the back, I.E. hydro really helps.

Otherwise run 4 mags and a bottle of gas / BBs.

Anyone got any recommendations for pouches to use with these? I am finding them tricky to get out of my chest rig, but then again it was designed for AK mags not M4.....

how much were you looking to spend? Can't fault Warrior pouches however they're not the cheapest.

Also not cheap, but Esstac KYWI pouches are incredible. Piece of piss to get mags in and out but you can turn the pouch upside down, shake it about and never lose a magazine.

My esstac KYWI are very easy to use, not hard to draw or insert at all.

So I got a look at an MTR16 in person today. I noticed that it has an ambi bolt catch/release stock. My questions are:

1) Are the standard MWS bolt carrier group and the MTR bolt carrier the same?

2) Are there gold MTR16 ambi bolt catches, or should I just wait for the gold match MTR16?

My questions are:

1) Are the MWS and MTR16 bolt carrier groups exactly the same/interchangeable?

2) Are there MTR16 after market ambi bolt catch/release controls that exist in gold, or should I just wait for the gold match version?

3) Is it better to buy the MTR16 or standard MWS and upgrade the MWS? I kinda want a BCM or MK18 build.

1, yes bolts are interchangeable

2, pretty sure there are gold ones if you’re that way inclined

3, if you’re going to change most of the parts then the MWS is £100 cheaper

Welp thats an Angry Gun lightweight BCM bolt on the way for me too, time to start sourcing new bits for the CQB setup.
