THE TM MWS thread

I also played today, 13C outside no wind. I was using Puff Dino 14kg green gas with no silicone oil and filling mag for about 9 seconds. I noticed power dropping on some of my mags but few were just awesome - I tried full auto and it worked. Not sure why some mags were troublesome though.

Quick question: anyone know whether the Magpul trigger guards are compatible with the MWS? ?

E.g. the Magpul enhanced (aluminium) or plastic MOE trigger guards.

Thanks.

I have fitted a Polymer MOE one, it did need a little tuning, but fits.

Thanks Dave! Sorry to be an incessant sod, but can you clarify what you mean by "tuning"? E.g. did you have to widen the pin punch holes on the MWS to fit the Magpul pin and screw, something like that?

So I took the angry gun nozzle apart gave it a clean as it’s wasn’t moving efficiently in bolt.  I lubed the rubber buffer with some silicon oil which KoA use for their pistons in their recoil gearboxes. Bloody hell what a difference that made. The nozzle moves effortlessly and you can even hear the air moving in the nozzle (well the suction type noise). The stock marui nozzle didn’t have the same affect. The stock marui nozzle just falls straight into the bolt whereas the Angry Gun has that suction resistance. Either the AA rubber buffer is a tad too big or the Marui one is a tad too worn. Dunno. Someone explain to me which is correct please?

On to chrono time. Fully gassed up mag on Abbey Predator gas at room temperature of 20c. Using some 0.2s first shot 371, then consistently 366 for the next few slowly going down to 358 on average. The AA valve will need more adjusting to decrease the gas flow.

Other than that she’s back to normal! Whoop! Happy days.

Oh, the marui hop has 15 click positions. I know coz I counted each click lol. Twice. Using a stock marui rubber and a brass nub the 0.3s which I subsequently used needed 7 clicks of hop for a stable flight. Don’t know if that info is useful for anyone?

Can't comment on the AA nozzle, but my TM one has a very good seal with plenty of resistance before it follows the BCG.

Read recommendations from people to thread lock the adjusting screw on the AA nozzle as it has a habit of firing it down the barrel! ?

Funny you should mention thredlock,.. Fortunately the  nozzle I have has blue thread lock on it as standard... I've got it shooting at about 340 fps on Abbey gas at temperature 20c when tested this evening....

Anyway, my replacement Marui nozzle should be here in a couple of weeks along with other gubbins...

Holy cow, have you seen that?

Yeah this was shown earlier in the group... (scroll back a few hundred pages lol)... but seriously the concept is great but I hazard to guess you will need a custom G&P upper receiver as the title to this video suggests... Personally give me a HAO upper receiver and forgo this easy method of taking the HOP out..

Oh hello......... <porn> Those are magpul sites,,,, I do like that... as a matter of fact I have Magpul PTS Masada lost in the loft somewhere I can nab the sites of that but they are black.. However me being me, I'll probably get a black magpul grip, I'm just too conservative when it comes to mixing colours on my rifle lol...

that does look nice with the MK18 rail on, I'm tempted to get a MK18 rail.
Do it... you know you want too ?. It just makes the rifle look sexy! Although an all black rail would look nice too. I have a 9 inch DD lite rail which I could plonk on to see what it looks like too.

Thats a lovely looking gun there, I'm right in thinking ill need an adapter ring to get the mk18 rail to fit?

I had a replica UBR a few years ago on my Krytac and yes they are heavy and hard to find unless you don't mind paying £200plus for a real one.

Yes you will need a PTS adapter ring from Fire Support about a tenner.  The ring goes on the Marui barrel and the MK18 nut screws onto it.... simples
