It's the VFC AEG version. Coming out some to next yearErm, it's an MP7... Is there something new about this I should know?
I can get you one of these, but they be damned expensive!do we really wanna start this?
because this is gonna take me longer than it took to write the science guide to get everything on my list.....
but we could stard with an hpa compressor.
Have you considered looking into the uses of Hi pressure compressed air and seeing what company’s use it? Then perhaps asking very nicely if you can fill up a bottle every now and then.Yeah thats why its i wants rather than i haz
Sadly theres only one site round here has one that only goes to 1.5k and its not a good site.
Lot of cash to avoid one place, but i'm trying to ingratiate myself with the local dive clubs.
1.5k is a very low fill, but from your sentiment I’ll take it that it isn’t a typo and that they are conserving the fill pressure.Yeah thats why its i wants rather than i haz

Compressor or cylinder?
The compressorCompressor or cylinder?
Because if it's the cylinder overheating you can just fill a bucket with water and leave the cylinder in there.

Running and maintaining a suitable HPA compressor is expensive and is typically run to a cylinder bank topping up as required while fills are run from the master cylinder.
So it does make a bit of sense that they would restrict fills particularly for airsoft down as far as 1.5k - particularly if only a portion of the airsofters are on HPA
Though I’ve not been to the type of site for a while, I believe that it’s still the case with a
lot of paintball sites across the country still run CO2 systems. Delta Force is the market leader for punter games. Independants that market paintball to punters alone dont need HPA and the investment to convert is at high expense.
A site that markets to own gunner walkons/scenarios/tournaments has to have HPA, normally at 3000psi and bringing in specialists such as HPAC for 4500psi at events.
Sites with wise management will diversify which can mean HPA fills are available for airsofters, but doesn’t guarantee it as they may not want to run compressors if it’s only an airsoft day, or there may be seperate staging without the air system.
If you can get the fills without paying per fill then VFM and convenience for portable HPA is to have multiple standard aluminium 48ci 3000psi cylinders. (Though 4500psi fiber cylinders are available the standard 3000psi beats them on VFM) Fill enough of them to cater for the air you need for a day or between fills. Friendly scuba clubs can be good for this.
Next is your own scuba cylinder. Go for a convenient size rather than just big as the pressure will soon drop and you ‘waste’ more when it gets too low. This can be filled at pretty much any scuba shop and will cost per fill.
Get better efficiency with 2 or 3 scuba cylinders
Fill your playing cylinder as often as possible to minimise the pressure gap
Primary from cylinder no 1, top up with no 2, second top up with no 3 if you have a third.
When 1 is too low to bother with then take it to the scuba shop and now primary fill from no 2, top up with 3, and final top up with the full no 1
All of this is probably overkill unless you’re going through a fair bit of air, so the most reasonable would be one scuba cylinder and keeping your max fill as low as possible to preserve the scuba pressure as long as you can
Stirrup pumps are a posisble solution, but you need to ensure it has a good filter system and it will take some effort...... I’m going to be trying one next year, so can give some advice from experience as opposed to having watched in the past.
The Shoebox compressor is a solution to a problem we don’t really have in the UK. It’s for remote locations with difficult access to HPA - real remote locations such as in Canada as opposed to the Shires here
It’s not a true compressor but a booster that needs a source workshop compressor at >100psi and it boosts to 3000 or 4500psi - Over a very long time, and at risk of overheating so you need to keep an eye on it
All of a sudden seeing as I’m toying with the idea of venturing in to gas guns this coming year I’m VERY happy indeed my home sites have HPA fill rigs set up on site !
I’m double lucky then , both of them or excellent sites as well !?Lol
Its mainly a protest thing, dont want a badly managed site to get my money *just* because they have an hpa fill rig.
