I'm not talking about legal issues surrounding that, I'm well aware of those. I'm more talking from a pure power output perspective. UK limits are extremely low compared to a lot of countries around the world. Not as bad as Germany or Japan but still low. Many countries run much higher limits and no one complains that 1.3j is too much for full autoEasily? Not in practice, they couldn't.
You'd literally need to change UK law, superseding the Policing & Crime Act 2017 where the current 1.3J full auto limit is a matter of statute.
After that, liability insurance policies will need to be underwritten again and premiums may go up as a result for site owners.
So what? We just come back to the problem of trying to define what problem or issue would be resolved by running at 1.3J for full auto.I'm not talking about legal issues surrounding that, I'm well aware of those. Improved brush penetration and very slight boost in range. There's really no difference to 1.14 and 1.3 though Redditch is why I don't see the big deal a about it. Only reason most sites stick to 1.14j is because it's a nice round number on .2s and means that if players run a little hot it doesn't legally turn it into a firearm. So what? It appears that you cannot come up with any problem or issue would be resolved by running at 1.3J or even 2J for full auto. If you want to prove what a big tough chap you are, I am sure that the Royal Marines would welcome you.Improved brush penetration and very slight boost in range. I'd say in an ideal world I would like to see limits increased to 1.6 or even 2j for full auto with med below which you switch to semi or use a pistol. And sniper limits could be easily boosted as well to match.
As I stated in my first comment: "I rather fail to see what increasing power limits would solve or improve in airsoft; is it just that some people desperately need to demonstrate how manly, or possibly womanly, and tough they are?"I'm confused, this forum, & the game in general, is chocka full of players who have been happily playing with the current fps/j rules, some of us have been playing long enough to remember even slightly lower site limits.
Yet most of us are hooked, borderline addicted, & have happily accepted the rules as they've stood for decades.
& we've all seen the kind of irresponsible small dicked arseholes that repeatedly try to cheat chronos, change outputs mid game, & in some cases injure players with their stupidity.
So why, even if its just hypothetically, are some trying to justify higher outputs, surely that's just pandering to the minority (thankfully) that seem intent to spoil the game for everyone but themselves.
& opinions like "raising the limits will bring those running stock guns up to the level of those that are heavily tuned" is just naive horseshit, the arseholes won't be happy with that, they'll still feel the need to exceed the limits, aka cheat
It'll be a vicious circle, just with more ouch![]()

Sometimes, in fact quite often, it is best to just leave things as they are; changing them can risk ruining everything.
And you can be damn sure that med is calculated based on .48's because you know someone is going to be doing that.
I said more range and better brush penetration though? Do we need more of a reason? It's not about being tough or not. I'm just saying I have played with both higher and lower limits and never hand an issue in countries with higher limits. I did have an issue with German limits as they're frankly ridiculous. It appears that you cannot come up with any problem or issue would be resolved by running at 1.3J or even 2J for full auto.
