So nearly ready to go. Just awaiting some springs. I have the CTM holster and it works well. Stands a little way from the belt but it is not bad.

Just wow! Can't wait to see this. Love the SBA carbon suppressor idea as well, hadn't thought of that.

Interesting though as I wasn't aware the nozzle was G18C compatbile?

Look forward to seeing this built up.

Nozzle requires minor mods. Already done and tested this and it works perfectly with the TM mags (curved seal).

Wow! There's not much left of the original gun by the looks of it. It should be an impressive build.

Only four more days 'til payday...

@PimanCrikey that’s a lot of upgrades. In fact that’s a damn good pic as it’s easier to see what can be changed and which brands to use.

Looking forward to the build and the video review  ;)

Quick question: What is the hop rubber of choice for these?

I know ML is pretty popular, but has anyone tried the Sniper Mechanic Flamingo?

Flamingo is what Skirmshop were pre-upgrading the first few batches they had with before sending them out. From what I've read the latest strain are decent, happier in a BASR than a pistol but from most AAP users I'm seeing with them they are happy enough with the range.

I just can't help myself to not break habit and go with a 70° decepticon though.

I’m using a 50deg pink flamingo in my MK23 and it seems pretty decent. Although I’ve not managed to range test it properly beyond 40m as of yet.

I'm fairly certain my mates put a 50 flamingo in his. Unfortunately he's not really done and shooting in anger with it.

@Steveocee, I'll let you know how the holster is!

@AlphaBear I'll be sure to make a video of the drum mag. I've got the Armourer works drum coming for me and due to stocking levels, I've ordered my mate the WE one. They seem to be identical apart from the colour. I considered the WE one as it was cheaper but the green and tan clashed too much with my black pistol!! ?

Ok, follow-up question.

Not being a GBB man (it's been nearly 6-7 years since I last owned one), I don't know what's decent or not. Are these mags (a tenner cheaper than Action Army) any good?:

https://www.airsoftworld.net/a-w-e-glk-18-and-nuprol-raven-spare-magazine.html

I assume it's AirsoftWorld's rebrand of another manufacturer.
Can't help but notice it mentions Nuprol and raven in the hyper link! Might be a cheap raven / vorsk mag in different packaging.

I've not had any issues with the Action army ones or my WE extended mags if that's of any use.

You're probably right - most likely made of cheese for that price.

Where's the best place to pick up WE extended mags these days?

That's where I got mine from, I think I paid slightly less but not much less.

Just ran an extended mag through my machine pistol and a standard mag through my pistol and it was lovely.

I do however keep my gas in the utility room instead of my garage to enable me to have an impromptu pew pew.

Spent the last hour glossing skirting boards with the mags in my pockets ?

Dammit, don't you just hate it when a PDI barrel falls into your basket and checks itself out?

OK, so the lower is done. The Cowcow internals and GM trigger are in place.

The trigger is almost a direct fit but a little adjustment was required to allow it to pull back far enough to release the hammer. You can see it has small extra protrusions to limit over-pull after the release.  One possible downside with aftermarket triggers is you do lose the safety.

I Modified the auto sear to match the original.

I also took some pictures of the mods I made to the nozzle. You just need to cut/file the rear profiIe to match the original and trim the side guides by the smallest amount (about 0.5mm) to allow it to slide smoothly in the bolt/BBU.  Just shave a little at a time until it moves freely like the original.

I found that the Cowcow hammer roller caused a very sticky slide so although this picture has the silver Cowcow part this has now been replaced by the original. All fires nice and smoothly now.

That's all impressive, I'd have got my Dremel cutting bit out and probably would have cocked it up lol. That reminds me I need a vice and some new metal files..... anyway, back to my point.... why is there a need to replace the original trigger parts with these 3rd party parts? Durability? Quality? Lockdown boredom? ;)

For the hammer and sears it is mainly for durability. The trigger itself; I just like the alloy trigger rather than plastic. It is also adjustable so I get the short trigger pull I like.

I am also someone who loves to tinker and don't have any standard airsoft guns. I would imagine the standard pistol will be fine for a long time before any need for repair or upgrade. I just can't help myself!!! :)

That's something I learnt very quickly about airsofters.

There is quite a blurry line between the need to upgrade parts for a desired benefit Vs the desire to upgrade because I mother-fucking want to!!!
