Hey guys im new to airsoft and i have a few queries

im looking to buy my own gear as renting isnt exactly cost effective so....
i need a reasonable gun to start myself off but i am on a budget as i have a baby on the way
so whats a good gun to get to start that i can gradually upgrade as and when money comes in so theres no need for me to go out and buy a new gun, and i know i can get them cheaper from importing but what are the runes on having them shipped into the country?

as ive found a asg g36c for like £50 but im not sure if this is a recognised brand that i can add too

thanks in advance for any help

not quite that low lol, i have been offered a galaxy mp7 with 3 hi caps and 1 low cap for £40 from a friend but that seems more of a sidearm

well its full metal and feels nice and sturdy

Best to post your absolute max budget so people can advise with more detail.

dont forget to factor in the mags etc in your budget.

You can get bargains if you search the forums often. I am very good at getting lucky with guns and kit from forums and local surplus stores.

I'm not in any rush so I can pick things up gradually. And I just sold my gas 177 pistol so budget atm is 100 and where do you stand on plastic guns? Like let's say getting an umarex ump with full metal gearbox and a poly body?

UMPs are great close quarter weapons, Ideal if you'll be playing at indoor sites

Shame you just missed out on my ICS M4.

Good quality plastic guns are OK. I would not buy one for a regular gun personally. The G&G range are meant to be good for cheaper starter guns.

but the plan would be buy a decent poly gun. Then gradually upgrade. So when I got the cash get a metal "ris" isit? Then a new stock/receiver etc

for example. I just found a hk g36c for 100 online. All the inside parts are metal and the outside plastic. But could I get a new steel barell .ris. stock etc and make it my own over time? My mate has one and I played with it earlier today and it felt perfect in my hands

if you are thinking about geting a g36 by ether TM, Ares or SRC because they are full metal guns as it the parts that are plastic are meant to be plastic EG: the reciver

but they don't meet my budget LOL. And as far as I know hk is a good brand. My mates one was all plastic except the inside and he added a metal barel.ris and stock and its such a nice weight now. And its endured a lot.

HK are a real gun manufacture not an airsoft company! so thats utter BS

its most likely an ASG rebranded item
your rite. I miss read it. Hk replica company's Asia something or other and the review on it says its comparable with something so you can upgrade to your hearts content

lol

any way if it is as they say it is I don't see a problem but before you get it ask the guys at the shop what make it is because in my experience if they don't tell you the make they are hiding something more!
