is this possible, i've got real ones on order, it was going to fit onto a PTW, but costs are proving too great, does anybody have any experience?

Seeing as the CASV design is primarily mounted by bolting on to the upper reciever rail, it'll fit on pretty much any airsoft AR that's reasonably close to real dimenstions. The CTR again shouldn't be a problem, I've got a couple of RS one on airsoft rifles. Long as you always buy 'mil-spec' instead of commercial spec when it comes to RS stocks you should be fine.

Bit of a shame to put that kind of stuff on a rifle that costs less than the CASV though I'd have said personally. Were you going GBB or the new AEG?

well i'm still desperate for the PTW, so it might still end up well, but i like to have worst case scenarios available.

You could just get a TM EBBr which is more realistic in both aesthetics and function, half the price (which I'd have thought would be a fairly key point for you in this situation) and with a much better hop system.

That's what I'd do anyway. In fact, I sort of did already a couple of years back:

The CASV is King Arms rather than VLTOR since I wasn't buying RS parts regularly at the time, but I'll be upgrading that at some point soon now that I've found a store with a good stock of the real handguards.
