Raven m1911 meu help plz

hi all,

i got a 1911 for christmas but straight out of the box the slide would not fully rack, looking at the barrel i noticed the guide rod stuck inside.

i've tried taking off the slide but it won,t reach far enough back for me to reach the release,

any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Can you still disassemble it?

Make sure the magazine is out of the gun.

You'll have to somehow get the guide rod to come back forward.

Failing that you may have to return it for a replacement.

dribble a bit of silicone down there, let it work in, and then use something long and thin to give it a nudge?

Return it. Do NOT disassemble, molest or mess with. If its like this straight out the box I strongly reccomend you get the shop to replace it.
