Pinion gear fitting

Hi guys and girls my pinion gear keeps sliding down the shaft, it isn’t the the D shape shaft type with a grub/hex screw, just a round shaft. How do I stop this from sliding? Super glue? Stud lock?

One way is the use of red loctite. Another is to try a snugger fitting pinion, for instance Siegetek make different sized ones e.g.
