Hi guys. Just getting back into Airsoft after a 10 year break. Did my first event last weekend at gaol the jail, my first time there and can say it's a great site.

I've started a Instagram @callsign_temps a follow would be appreciated.

I can't believe how much Airsoft has advanced in the last 10 years to the point of all my kit is outdated gen 2 aeg and my GBBR l85.

Anyway guys hope to meet and speak to some of you.

Oh no definitely not writing it off as useless as I love all my stuff. Just spent time sorting them out cleaning up regreasing and checking them over. I was just surprised how much guns have come on where alot now come with lipo and mosfit installed.

Welcome back!

I was away from airsoft for a long time before returning to it. The use of LiPo batteries and MOSFETs was part of the culture shock of returning but I haven't used anything other than LiPos in my AEGs in the past couple of years.

Ahoy and welcome back.

Lipo is great, quick change springs are a treat, and fire control systems have started to show up even in low end guns in the last year or so

But the BBs don't care: a properly hopped 1.1J BB is going to go as far as it ever did. My regular gun is just a basic M4 in a fancy shell, and I'm having as much fun as anyone else.

Played from mid nighties through to just after VCRA about 2007. Just started again recently.

Lipos, mosfets, quick change springs and Gbbrs are probably the biggest game changers. For me there’s so much more choice, when I started if you wanted an AEG it was TM, now no matter how obscure a weapon you’re looking for, it’s probably available somewhere.

Welcome back. It is all new and confusing at times. Even 10 years ago there wasn't the amount there is now. I love GBBR and have always had one but they are a pain to set up right at times but touch wood my l85 is running sweet. So many different brands out there for aeg now.
