new rifle question - AWG CM16 Raider batteries

hi guys an gals,

i,ve ordered my awg cm16 raider,,,with an m100 spring,,,,,i see it runs on 8.6v batteries,,,but i did see in a you tube vid,,,that i could upgrade them in a stock version to a 9.6,,,,i think the guy said no problem,,,withought having to upgrade anything,,,is that right???,,,,and,,,it would increse my rate of fire an length of game play,,,is that right aswell?? thnx in advance for yer help..   ;-}

a simple way to explain batteries.

voltage = rate of fire

Amps = how long the battery will last.
