There's a big black box for new posts, doesn'r always reset if you go back a page but does when you hit home.

not seeing it? i have one for featured and trending content but not new threads

same one i've always used on here, although i think the old software zoomed it in more. either that or it's not been displaying for years and i never noticed.

suppose cropping it down to just the hamster and not have the symbol visible might be prudent, i realise in todays climate it might need stated that the whole adolf hamster thing was something edgy 14 year old me thought was funny, and despite growing older and wider (edit:that was meant to be "wiser" but either way the statement holds) i've stuck with it because it's seldom taken and i'm too lazy to remember more than 1 fake identity.

It took me a while to find it but the lighting bolt icon top right shows new posts

Same here! Can't view the classifieds either.

So I think it's a permissions issue for everyone who's not just a member, so that includes supporters and moderators. I'll be sorting that shortly.

Has anyone found a way of editing posts?

It appears that the edit function is only available for a limited time after posting; is there any way that it could always be available?

I was wondering if like the old forum it could be added if a DM message has been read. I know it isn't a massive important feature but something we've grown use to on most apps these days.

yes i have that, what i was referring to was the equivalent of the trending content box but it was for new status updates/new topics/new posts

was useful to have it all on the homepage for a quick glance, but obv not a thing to worry about when there are more pressing issues on the table.

Something like this will be returning. I plan to make a lot of tweaks and changes over the next few weeks with an aim of returning it to mostly how it was before.
