Hi Hive mind, after a bit of banter about me being likely to have a briefcase gun in my collection it got me thinking... well not that much really coz it had already occured to me TBF. I rarely use other sites to buy rif's but I wanted this to be a surprise to those I consider friends (some of you's... but not HIM).

It was a fairly easy adaptation in all honesty, all the parts just slotted in place like it was made for the job, I managed to source some of the rs parts from a European site, the rest were a bit harder but do-able, I'm not a tech guy so thankfully I didn't need to open the rif as all the parts were external (but still in the bag lol).

I already had an MP5 spare (as many of you will know), so all I needed was the case, a chassis, trigger & a few sturdy wires... turns out coat hangers were ideal (I'm a Scot so I love to save money where I can). No need for any soldering, glueing or lathe work (just as well coz I don't have a lathe).

I wasn't impressed by the colour options available for the case as the reds, blues etc of that era are a bit kitsch but found a black one in pristine condition, the fastener needed a bit of oil but OMG it took me ages to find the GBBR lubricants I'd bought ages ago, I don't use my GBBR's much so once they're lubed up I tend to put stuff away & forget where I put it (a bit like stashing the kids Xmas presents, there's only so many places you can stuff a Scaletric set or Cabbage patch doll).

Back on topic (how often do were hear that on these forums???), the whole project just fell into place piece after piece, just like a jigsaw My old Nana used to love making, of course it eventually bacame a bit frustrating for her once the athritis really took hold but she soldiered on. Anyway... everything just slotted into place (as I already said), bending the coathangers was probably the hardest bit, I couldn't quite get the angles right a couple of times and had to start again, but I eventually got there, and here is the result, hope you like it...
