I would 100% recommend acupuncture
I was a non believer of it until around ten yrs ago, I slipped getting out of the shower and “cricked” my back.
I didn’t think anything of it, but before I knew it I couldn’t bend and it got worse, unable to sit, then unable to stand upright!
I had trapped my sciatic nerve somehow!
I spent two weeks in bed in agonising pain, with spasms in my leg making it come (involuntarily) up to my chest and in screaming pain.
My GP prescribed morphine, which did take the edge off of it, and they suggested acupuncture.
I was willing to try anything at that point.
The specialist came round, and took ten minutes to move me from lying on my back - to lying on my front.
She then put in around 10 - 12 needles in my back, wiggled them for a moment, then went for a cuppa and a chat in the other room with my wife.
She returned to wiggle and turn the needles again and left me for ten minutes.
She took them out, and got me comfortable, and said to my wife, “he’s ok , he’ll sleep for a while”
I blacked out and slept for 18hrs solid
I was back on my feet in 48 hrs, and back to work ten days later.
I 100% endorse acupuncture after that experience
