Also the plate carrier has a stars and stripes patch. Which is a red flag to me.

Seller wants more than retail price for two-tone. "Only used once with no scratches" only holds value for a collectible, not a 13 in a dozen entry-level airsoft gun.

Number 1 pet peeve - "Worn" finishes clearly done with sandpaper to a gun that doesn't deserve it 😭
 
This is why, even though painting your rifle is the best tactical choice... I never paint any of my guns. I myself wouldn't really want to get a painted gun, so I know they're a much harder sell

And at this point, a bunch of my collection are collectible pieces at this point. No way in hell am I painting any of my Tanakas ever

Tbf, theres nothing wrong with painting a gun if thats what you want to do.

Its just if you choose that path you gotta be honest with yourself that it's more likely to be a value subtractive process should you wish to sell.

It is possible that a paintjob doesnt knock down value, might even add it, but for that to happen you need a buyer with the same aesthetic taste as you limiting the pool of potential candidates.
 
Not going to lie I do love the look of a battle worn pew something like it's out of fall out or something like that does jingle my jammys. Have seen some pretty sick painted pews by very talented guys.

That's the thing. There are some superb looking battle worn or tactical rattle can jobs that I don't see being a hard resell... then you have paint jobs that look like Hellen Keller did them using her feet.
 
using their own price totals it's about 74% of RRP
so, i'd say a little too high, if their pricing costs are to be believed, (without researching myself)

60-70% would be £603 - £703
collection only isn't suprising, more so for cost than "weight",
but is definitely gonna limit the potential customer base further

Looks like they've lowered their price to be more reasonable AND added a pic with everything in it, which is great
Gonna be a lil stinker and say there's no pic with a name/timestamp in it. so violates rule 5 👀

The pricing model is still suspect. The seller itemised a TM Hi-Capa AND the third-party upper but didn't specify how much of the original pistol you're getting in the Hi-Capa of Theseus while they priced the package based on the complete original.

£115 would be OK in full working order but the well known full auto on single shot fault has happened with the trigger contacts, with that old chestnut "should be easy fix". So easy that the seller hasn't done it himself to make the gun worthy of the asking price and usable at sites with single shot only restrictions.

Yes, it was an easy fix when it happened on one of my P90s. It wasn't cheap as I spent £100 on a Perun mosfet to not only cure the problem, it improved the trigger response enormously as it no longer relied on the trigger bar.

Now down to £110. Not enough of a discount to warrant the buyer's time and money to fix the single shot fault.
