Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

What are they smoking....

Selling above retail but he's not open to budging on the price. Good luck with that!

Either he overpaid for it from DCA in the first place or he listed it to appease his wife demanding he sell off part of his collection.

Seems that NPO VSS-M that got bought up cheap, sold here, then resold here again (All within the space of 2 weeks, mind you...) was an absolute mess. Poor guy who ended up with it last...

Jesus Christ, that's an absolute heap. Shame on the seller for exploiting people's trust like that.

I don't fully agree with Luke about not buying used. Buying used isn't inherently bad where you should avoid it entirely though it carries enough risk that you should try before you buy where practical.

Was it sold here before the forum update?

About 40% of mine were second hand & all through the classifieds, had issues with a few but not many... if I used them instead of looking at them the issues might show up a bit more but don't think I regret buying any of them second hand with maybe a couple of exceptions.

The majority of my RIFs were bought second hand; I don't expect them to be perfect and do expect them to have issues. However, making them better than they were when they were new is something that I enjoy. I am currently working on how to rework the FAMAS that arrived today with a micro switch trigger and a smarter mosfet.

I say we start to name and shame arseholes who knowingly sell guns that are knackered
Technically that's what the feedback system is for, but I should imagine that if anybody buys a lemon, if the seller then agrees to take it back or agrees to put it right, either physically or financially, the buyers hardly going to start screaming their name from the rooftops.
Generally I reckon "most" sellers here are honest enough to right any wrongs, the really dodgy feckers will chance their arm on Usedairsoft etc 🤬

Who in the right mind is paying that much for a hi capa

My Cybergun famas is playing up... it's only ever sat on my wall, ffs.

All it's doing if SFA, prob just a connection issue as it's only ever been chrono'd & was bought new. been sat on my wall for a couple of years so it' might just be in the huff.

Resprayed two-tone. "Fires perfectly" but sometimes switches to full auto in semi. Does he mean the broken firing selector switches to full auto from single shot or does he mean it shoots in full auto on single shot, in which case the gun's sear has probably worn down?

You can pay £130 for a lucky dip with a tatty respray, broken parts and presumably a missing flash hider or you can just pay £30 more and get the RIF brand new without any of those problems.

Tough choice.

Knowing WE36 and its clones like this one, it'll be a worn out broken trigger disconnector.

If you're coming in with the view to buy a shell to install an RA Tech FCG and the adaptor to use VFC AR mags it'd honestly not be terrible.

But it's also not a great deal either at only £30 below. Would be tempted to haggle it down personally if my local tech wasn't already building that for me.
