Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

Also in that "20 bbs" manages to create a huge scratch in the paint from the fire selector :

And took the time to strap it
To be fair selector markings are common place on all AK’s, even from factory. However the scuff on the bolt handle and the scratches on the selector switch itself, less new the more you look šŸ˜‚

Ā

I don’t know where to start with this one….

M16a1 VN - errrrrm….

Rare metal body from factory - errrm….
Broken rear tabs on the ā€œmetalā€ body - yep āœ…

EBB - ???

I could keep going, anyone know what this actually is/was?Ā

It says "M4A1 Carbine" on the lower receiver so along with mentioning EBB, I'd guess it's based off some TM M4 NGRS with an extended outer barrel. Who knows where the handguard is from?

From what I can see online the NGRS guns don't have the same easily breakable tabs as the old AEGs. I think they've put a load of random parts together in the hope they can sell it to some poor unsuspecting person who doesn't know betterĀ

Indeed, NGRS are held only on the front pin. And the solid stock is only done by 3rd party and aren't the cheapest thing on the planet so you would mention that in the add.

Also the mags are regular AEG mags, not NGS. NGRS EPM mags don't have the hump around the top of the feed lips.

I therefore put it to you, m'lud, that this is a regular AEG, a NGRS shoe horned into a regular body, or one of those short lived 3rd party recoil kits added

It’s now been relisted with different photos but saying he’s after an appraisal etc.

Still says it’s a TM metal body….
Ā

Anyone recognise the sticker on the bottom of the pistol grip? He also says it’s been to a shop for servicing at least once.

I thought Japanese law on replica guns meant they couldn't make metal bodied guns without getting their pee pee slapped

Nope, there's plenty of metal bodied TM and WA gunsĀ

That said, it's often zamak rather than alu and definitely not steel.

Ahhhhh yes. Lets take a run of the mill AEG, give it a shit paint job, chuck some shite mags in and a cheap Chinese red dot, get it signed by an ex special forces soldier who was never issued the real version of the weapon (If you squint it looks like an HK416) and slap a huge price on it

Aware these had a high RRP but still baffles me

Tempting, but think I'll pass on this one
But it says Andy McNab on it, that’s got to be worth Ā£200 at least?
