Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

Ah, so the "trust me, bro" gun is back.

"It's been fully upgraded but I bought it like that at don't remember what was upgraded but I insist it is worth 500 smackeroonies!"

Now down to £400.

Funnily enough, I was talking to a friend last weekend about the Honey Badger he's eyeing up. I'm certain the "trust me, bro" gun is actually a Double Eagle Honey Badger (with a battery extension), not one by Ares.

I haven't a clue what the hell "upgrades" have been done to make a £150 brand new gun worth £400 used with a paint job by Stevie Wonder.

I agree that it is almost certainly a DE; it is quite different from the Ares.

Asking that money is heavily optimistic but asking that money for that item on Vinted of all fucking places is just moronic.

Let’s be honest, Vinted ain’t exactly overflowing with airsofters is it?

Too right, I was looking for some extra small harnesses for the pups, just shows though how all the sites spy on your surfing history etc ?

Definitely taking the piss, as @Tacklepposted, UTG are a a low quality Chinese kit manufacturer. The seller is bullshiting.

As for the whole site spying on visitors, this what happens when you click ok for cookies

Seen on a WhatsApp sales group -

Someone else has defends the bonkers price by suggesting that Nicco is the Michael Jordan of Airsoft and that’s why you’d pay so much for a gun he’s touched!
To me that cheating twat touching it should lower the price

I wouldn't care if Jesus's Christ himself had lovingly fondled it, when are people going to get their head around the fact that no amount of upgrades can beat the laws of physics, all while you remain on the right side of the laws of the land.

To me no airsoft gun is worth half that.

Says its utg, which is a low level manufacturer more associated with airsoft than real steel.

The rest sounds like bollocks to me ?

"It was used once to play airsoft at an MOD site. Let's see how much I can twist the truth to add £100+ to the value of it."

Who or what the hell is Nicco ?
Guessing they're referring to NamesNicco - UK airsoft youtuber. His videos all take the standard stance of "insert outlandish XYZ claim here" with over the top thumbnails.

While I don't like his content (and don't watch it), never heard of him being called a cheater.

Also vinted flat out banned anything even remotely military related at the beginning of last year - People posting camo Vans keep having adverts pulled.
…. Cue me checking my Vinted listings ….

Turns out that I have only put assault vests etc on eBay, but I do have uniform hats/peaked caps listed on Vinted - and a check of the rules does say they aren’t allowed

It’s possible to get away with rule breaches, but you may or may not get listings pulled.  On listing it depends on any key words or AI recognition of images, and then subsequently can be reported by other users (especially other sellers)

I listed some disposable coats, but these weren’t the typical festival smock type but a hoodless button up lab coat - and immediately rejected due to the laboratory / medical words

I did use Vinted as my default for selling clothing and some of the few other categories that they allow as the different way they do postage meant I may make more of the sale rather than full eBay fees.  But then fortnightly fee discounts, and currently zero fees made ebay the better option

I don’t tend to bother with Vinted now, just leaving existing items there if I can’t be bothered to relist on eBay - and there’s a couple of things that I have a few of so I keep a listing on both eBay and Vinted

Vinted does annoy me with their ‘will you sell it for £x’ process which doesn’t result in sales when I accept someone’s ‘offer’ - and people want to heavily under cut the asking price

Premium stuff from UTG

I sold my old UTG urban MOLLE for about £15

While I don't like his content (and don't watch it), never heard of him being called a cheater.
I saw one of his videos from Urban Assault a few years ago and the number of obvious hits he shrugged off and carried on playing was ridiculous

with a back story that has wobbled a time or two.
I've seen jelly that wobbled less. I'm sure any ex squaddies would know how long they were in for

Alternatively you could spend £40 more and get a new one with a warranty that works from the same shop
