Fair enough. First time I've seen his videos. It is a bit much, even by my standards after 20 years in the trades. When i first saw his videos my immediate thought was "Man, i bet this guy absolutely loves cocaine."
(But a friend knows him personally and apparently he doesn't absolutely love cocaine.)

It's not quite a 'character' in the same sense as Al Murray/The Pub Landlord, but it's an exaggeration for sure. I'm not his bezzie mate by any stretch but I've accumulated a few hours chatting in his workshop; my personal estimation is that it's a venting or representation of the accumulated annoyance at crap airsoft guns and crap airsofters he's been dealing with as his full time job for 20 odd (? +) years, as a site owner and tech. Personally, I'm genuinely surprised he's not changed career path before, but he's said he's been close a few times in videos, I imagine the positive aspects just about outweigh the negatives - which tbf is a bit easier to happen when it's your primary income source vs just a sunday game for the rest of us.
Like infantry blokes don't love digging ditches in sennybridge in winter, but some still serve 30+ years (obviously there's less digging after some years but anyway).
I won't comment on things he's told me to my face but not aired publicly, obviously he shows he likes a beer or rum (which I may well do myself in his job), but I can say with a decent degree of confidence that the mannerisms and how he acts are nothing to do with any sort of drug/s. There are other factors that are not any sort of bad decision he's made in life.

I asked him a question once via email that was a combination of two things he absolutely loves (Ares guns, and HPA) and he was nothing but civil in his answers.

I disagree with the placement of 1 gun in that, the Magpul PTS Masada these days needs to be right down the bottom of Cuntish, especially if its the AK lower variant.
The absolute clusterfuck of parts required to get it functional is pure insanity and so many stupid bodges needed. The 'AKM' mags, completely proprietary, completely dogshit and every single one of them needs the bb channel polishing as the moulds on them were an absolute joke.
Endemic to both variants, the microswitch that likes committing seppuku every other game day if you deigned to run it on anything more powerful than an 8.4v NiMh. Somewhere in my emails is the insane parts variety required to rebuild it after the one I had just flat out shat its gearbox is also mental - talking like £300 in bits in 2018/2019 spanning 5 gearbox versions.

I had the AK lower version; it was beautiful but an utter nightmare. They are/were poorly designed and the internals were garbage, probably because it was manufactured by Ares.
