L1A1 air rifle

I have a gas powered L1A1 air rifle which I want to modify it to Airsoft. Any ideas?

That would be a nightmare to do I reckon.

You'd need to bore out the barrel for a 6mm inner barrel, get a hop up system that would work with the firing system and also be able to be secured to the body. Then also modify the magazines to take 6mm BB's so changing feed lips, loader etc. Then find a way to restrict power to keep it site legal...

TL;DR version - Buy a VFC FAL and stick L1A1 furniture on it

Don't bother, too much work to do it, possible legal implications,  & even if you succeed, potentially too many unproven/unmatched parts to go wrong.

Sell the air rifle & invest in a proven airsoft version (or dress a fal up).

Out of interest though, what brand is the air rifle ?, which is about as much as we can discuss here about airguns according to the forum rules.?

Legal implications: This would be considered as illegally converting a firearm, and no defense will cover this in any shape nor form.

It’s a Lee Enfield but after reading the comments I’ll leave it as an air rifle.
