So question from any one imported a gun form Japan or Taiwan. How long did it take . Take to clear customs and what charges was people getting . Thinking using sixxmm or octaganairsoft . Maybe someone else for pp19 gbbr if nay one now's a good dealer to use ??

Hello, I import stuff all the time, hope this helps. Apologies if I’m over explaining anything here, I’m just all about this topic!
In my experience, octagon ship and declare it as electronic goods under $100. I’ve ordered 8 rifles and they’ve come straight to my door. Best time was 10 days, worst was 5 weeks as they back ordered it from Marui. Their shipping is now quite expensive tho.
I recently ordered a TM pistol from sixmm because it was £76!, paid £20 shipping and it should come to me without touching customs because of the value.
It does depend on if the retailer are truthful in their customs declaration
Anything over £140 declared as goods you pay import and fees on, it’ll get stopped by border force and you’ll get the bill through from the courier before they finish getting it to you (usually, except for fedex who bill you after) if it’s under £139 it won’t be liable for import/duty/fees and it’ll go straight to you, if they declare it as a gift, that changes. The limit comes down to £40! The totals also include the shipping costs btw too. Always email or write in the comment box when you purchase to declare as goods if it’s under £139 total with shipping because sometimes they think they’re doing you a favour saying it’s a gift, and you’ll get slapped with a charge unnecessarily. It’s a pain to have refunded and you can’t refund their handling fees which are sometimes more than the duty charged!
So sometimes it can be worth it to use one retailer for the RIF and another for mags to split the value and avoid the duty and import fees.
WGC shop will half the declaration value if you ask them
and I imagine so will others.
Asia Airsoft is the same shop as Sixmm, and their prices are inclusive of shipping.
MLE mart JKArmy and Airsoft Tiger are also reliable in my experience
Times genuinely depend on the courier. Parcelforce absolutely suck balls in my experience. Most of my wait times are from stuff sitting either at Heathrow on the way in or at a Parcelforce office. Typical, takes about a day from departing the other side of the world to reach the UK. Then about a week or more to travel through the Uk
My pistol from Sixmm was ordered last Thurs, was processed out of HK today and is currently in flight. Bit of a longer time to get through customs their end than normal but I’m expecting another week.
Action Airsoft are very good. That’s Proactstore.com . They’re based in TW so any TW made stuff they’re generally a bit cheaper on. But customs charges are literally down to luck. I’ve not tried asking them to under value declarations but usually because they’re cheaper it sorta balances out if you do get charged. I use them for mags and spare parts as they have the best stock for stuff like VFC and GHK and I can keep orders under that £139. Their shipping is very reasonable too. Turn around same as above. Pretty sure you still put your order through and they check stock and shipping costs and option and then send you an invoice on PayPal. Little different but I like it because unlike other retailers it means your order is definitely ready to go before you part with funds.
I’d honestly love to support more UK retailers instead, but their markup on stuff is just a bit nuts. I bought my Olympic Arms VFC AR PDW from Action Airsoft for £380 all in with two mags, shipped to my door, and UK shops sell them for over £550. Again from octagon, my MWS CQBR cost £390 all in. I use UK shops for bits and bobs and balls and gas, or if I need something a bit last minute, but in this current times where the cost of everything goes up, hobbies gotta be done as cheap as pos.
Only risk really is if you get a lemon, it ain’t going back.
