So question from any one imported a gun form Japan or Taiwan. How long did it take . Take to clear customs and what charges was people getting . Thinking using sixxmm or octaganairsoft . Maybe someone else for pp19 gbbr if nay one now's a good dealer to use ??

Cheers in advance

sorry i can't help at all. but just beware of using sixxmm i have seen a lot on reddit and other sites saying how items didn't turn up, how long it took, how bad their communication is and more. i wanted to buy parts for my mws and i was told by lot of people to stay away and buy it somewhere else

I have an order incoming from Sixmm - 5 items, of the 5 so far, 2 have cleared customs (the stock adaptor, stock tube and butt stock, I dont know yet) this is my first order and so far so good.
I know they have a whatsapp group you can join, the local marshall at my site says they are very good.

JKarmy - ordered lots over the years never had any issues

ToySoldier, back in the day i ordered from, pretty sure they were HK based, although cant find them now.

Impulse 101 and Airsoft Artisan i plan to order more stuff in the coming year, heard good things about them.

EDIT
ive never ordered a rift overseas, from what ive heard put your UKARA in the comments/ask for it on the box and its no issue.
customs/import is always hit or miss and youll get notified from the carrier, IIRCC its (base + 2.5% + shipping - +20% on that total) which still works out very good,

Ordering from sixmm, you’re brave 😂
Charges are usually 20% of the cost minus shipping I do believe. Shipping times obviously depends on what shipping service you use, I’d avoid UPS as 99% of the time they’ll need forms regardless of if it’s a rif or not. Customs hold up typically seems to be 3 - 7 days if it gets pulled. I’ve had orders from China ship to me in 6 days, I’ve also had orders take 2 months (using the same shipping service)
It’s mostly a luck of a draw thing tbh

One thing for certain is though that if you order from Sixmm you have a 99.99% chance you’ll have some kind of issues like wrong items, missing items or they just straight up won’t ship it out for weeks. Terrible, terrible, terrible company

Impulse101 are excellent - I once ordered something on a Monday and it dropped through my letterbox on Friday!

18Airsoft have been the best of the bunch for me- very often turns up in a week, all orders I've made with them so far have been excellent.

My experience of 6mm was poor
I ordered a VFC OSW from them as it was showing in stock on their website, and it was the cheapest. I waited 3 days and got a “sorry the item isn’t in stock” email from them.
Then waited and waited, emailed them for a refund which they ignored.
I ended up having to do a PayPal resolution and then got a refund the same day.
I bought from a uk store, which was just as well as I received faulty mags with the replica, which was easily sorted out. I’ve no doubt I would have been ignored and left with the duff units if I had bought from 6mm
Alls well that ends well 👍
Oh, a shout out to @airsoftworld for good service 🙏

Some decent prices, have you brought RIFs through them?
Mostly parts, but I have bought a G17 and a M1911 from them in the past (separate orders). Both came through with no problem. I made sure that I put my UKARA number as the first line of my address. From memory i selected 'EMS' as the shipping option. Beware (if you haven’t already worked it out) that the shipping gets more expensive the heavier that your order is - this is mostly true for the Hong Kong based suppliers.

Seconded, although their MWS parts catalogue is a shadow of what it used to be 😢

I've used Action Airsoft (Taiwan) for VFC guns a few times. Normally takes 2-3 weeks from order, but does depend on when they ship as that can take a few days, and how long it gets stuck in customs. Always make sure you put your UKARA on the order, and never let the seller put a lower cost on the package (to try to avoid customs fees). If the item gets lost, the cost declaration is all you can claim back.

Can't help but wonder if Impulse's position as the go to private sales grey import site for TM might have led to a "nope you only get these bits" noting that Echigoya also suddenly went to a Japan sales only model with zero warning....
