How Do Secondhand Gun Sales Work ?

I see a lot of secondhand guns for sale on the forum.

How do the rules work for gun sales between forum members ?

Do sellers check UKARA membership ?

There's no law that says you need UKARA. In theory anyone selling a RIF should check that:

• The buyer is over 18
• The buyer is a regular player at a site (which is easiest to check with UKARA)

Then again, what people should do and what they actually do are often two different things.

Have a read of that, it should remove all ambiguity about the buying and selling of RIF and IF on these and any other forums. It also gives you something to look out for if somebody doesn't check these then they may not be the best person to buy from !

UKARA is NOT the only way to check your right to buy. Many people will only accept it as it is the ONLY Home Office approved defense, that said, there has never been a test-case so other things are equally valid.
