Morning all,

Currently running a wild hog for QCB and have upgraded the following.

13:1 gears gate
Maxx hop up unit
Prometheus barrel TBB 300mm
Gsre aster v2 Bluetooth model
G&g ifrit 25k motor
Maxx cylinder head
Maxx nozzle
Mag pull stock

Current fps 310 on 0.25. Is there anything obvious I'm missing. It's accurate and high rate of fire just would like to bump the Fps up a little.

Regards S

If you go any higher you’ll be over the legal limit? 310 on a 0.25g BB is 1.12j.

On top of that, chasing FPS isn’t a good way to measure how “good” a replica is. You’ve got the important things, it’s accurate and as long as the fps is consistent and so are the shots it’s fine.

Sorry yes you are correct. What's better 310 with 0.25 or 350 with 0.2s?

Also any upgrades worth doing to make it better?

310 on 0.25 is 1.12J, 350 on 0.2 is 1.14J so yes 350 on a 0.2g is higher than 310 on a 0.25 but whether or not it's any better is arguable.

You say it's accurate and you're happy with the RoF so what are you trying to actually improve?

@Austeyr It's got a quantum bucking installed with Max metal arm. If that's what you were asking.

I was more asking about increasing fire rate it's circa 38 at the minute.

What are you trying to gain by pushing the power up, especially in CQB? Do you want to increase the range?

You are 3 fps short of the limit at most sites; increasing the power to the limit will make no observable difference.

It is always best to go with heavier BBs, although some CQB sites have weight limits.

Edited as I saw your reply about the hop rubber.

I wouldn't bother chasing those extra tenths of a joule as you could easily go over the power limits and tbh it'll make bugger all noticeable difference.

What's better 310 with 0.25 or 350 with 0.2s?
For cqb I'd say 350 with .2s. Yes you loose range but by it's nature you won't need range at close quarters. Unlike woodland games targets tend to only appear for a fraction of a second so you'll want to shorten the time between pulling the trigger and the BB hitting the target. Lighter bbs rounds along with a fast trigger response will help. This is why I usually stick to gbb for cqb. Having posted that, 38 rps I'd already quite high, I'm not sure you need to do anything with the rif

38RPS is more than enough. There's no need to go further into wankergun™ territory.

By what you've said, you've done everything you physically can do with your gun. If you feel you're still lacking even now, then the issue is likely to be behind the trigger and not inside the gun.

Seriously, nobody needs anywhere near 38rps, regardless of the type of site you are playing at, unless they are setting out to deliberately cause unnecessary pain. With that sort of RoF at CQB ranges, there is serious risk of dislodging face and eye protection.

You might want to consider improving your skills rather than upping your firepower.

Where do you play?
