Helmets - Yay or Nay?

Sure, it's required by the The Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer.

The lighter and cheaper the better.  I don't even go as fancy as MICH 2000s, the M88 / PASTG toys are good enough for the likes of me.  US $13.70 / £10.29 delivered from Ali Express on my last one.
Hahahaha that made me chuckle.

Don't let the commissar find you wanting in your faith or your duties.

2) Are only useful if you are playing CQB and have any fear of hitting your head on something....

...says Groot just as he pops his head out of cover, gets hit by a sniper, and Kicking Mustang get a few more thousand views ?

I have one.  It's good.  Tough I don't sweat crazy in helmets I do with this.  So if you get one, I recommend a skull cap like this to go under it
I usually wear a crotched prayer cap and a sweat band that gets changed two or three times a day.

Think I'll possibly re-think the idea.

My current lid is one of these less than a tenner jobs from TW:  https://www.taiwangun.com/tactical-helmet/replica-of-mich2000-helmet-version-light-coyote-8fields   The padding is adjustable and its pretty comfy.   My lad fell through a window a few years back in one and whacked his noggin on a concrete floor.  He is still with us, so it does give some limited bump protection.

If you really get a sweaty helmet then a sanitary towel may be the answer….

Are you telling me you don't run a Tactical Pith Helmet as your helmet? :(

That cunt nozzle aims for the face.

Helmet isn't going to help thats unless you go full Mandolorian

Not in the Northern hemisphere in March...

In the summer I use two.   One khaki as per the avata and one Vietnamese green job.

You have to be careful where you wear them though.   The local Zulu diaspora are frightened by one, the personel of the local US airbase by the other.
