Has Fubar Bundy Airsoft closed down?

In answer to the questions
No Fubar hasn’t shut down - company went from Ltd to Sole trader 6 years ago for business reasons
Due to other commitments the shop has been operating under restricted hours days, a well needed holiday has just been completed and will get back to normal going forward (fingers crossed) - Opening Days ALWAYS updated on Google / Please check before travelling to the shop.
Phone line is currently ongoing issue with BT thats still not been sorted and no eta to sort.
Facebook - removed our business page around two years ago and truthfully cant be (bothered with trying to start it again) best why to contact is through instagram currently.

Definitely still open. I placed an order yesterday and I've got the confirmation email. What are they like for quickly posting? My email says it should be delivered between Thursday and Monday
It’s automate emails I had the same should have been delivered 3 days after payment but 2+ weeks and nothing. No responses to emails, no phone calls answered.

Left a Google review to give others a heads up after all the information on here and other people in the same situation. Low and behold once the review went live I had a voicemail, response to my review and email with them cancelling my order 😂.

Will teach me not to do more due diligence in the future and not take retailers at face value. Least it’s a warning to others what to expect.

While I understand the retailer taking a break completely, i hope they had a great time. BUT A customer shouldn't have to dig around on google or other sites to see if the shop is on holiday for online orders.

Its incredibly easy to create an out of office reply stating such on an email, add a note onto the invoice that gets sent out or adding a voice message on a phone system/mobile stating you are currently away, even a small banner or note on the homepage of the website. The fact that the phones are not working etc makes that even more important.

Tbf I would have felt the same, if i bought something had no comms, emailed with no reply and called with no results after a week, even after checking the google times I would of thought something was up. I would have assumed that the closed times on google were just the physical shop being closed and not an indicator the owner was on holiday.

An out of office autoreply would have resolved all of this and likely would have completely prevented both this customer cancelling and also this thread.

It’s no way to run a business, shops either physical or online have to be open regularly with someone answering emails and taking calls. If not customers will take there money to another retailer.

People are allowed to take breaks lol

As Punisher said, a simple notice on the website, their socials, even the Google page would have been ideal and would have prevented a lot of this.

Hopefully it’s a lesson learned on the businesses end at least?

While shop owners are entitled to a break not having any notice on the website or shop's answering machine is asking for problems and pissed off customers who next time will go elsewhere. Had I known the order I placed in the early hours on Monday morning still wouldn't have been posted on Thursday I wouldn't have bothered.

It wasn't the op who cancelled the order, it was the shop after recieving a negative review. Pretty shitty behaviour imo

Having read your review and their reply I wouldn't blame you for going elsewhere. Sarcasm and outright bullshit are not the ways to keep customers happy.

People are allowed to take breaks of course but this isn’t a one man operation, don’t have all the staff off at once would seem a sensible solution.
