I bought this off a mate yesterday, it's an old PPS. It wouldn't cycle Tanaka style SS6 shells without slam firing them, starting doing a conversion to APS shells. Then realised they're banned at everywhere I would want to take it, so ended up fettling it to use the SS6 shells again.
And then fitted the stock from a long deceased Maruzen M870.

I managed to find a silver Colt.. WE brand

(still looking for the Cybergun branded version but this will do for now)

Came a few days ago.

But today arrived some cream coloured checkered grips and some fancy screws from olde AliExpress. The grips were cheap as chips but the real deal as you get from any reputable UK Airsoft shop. Abit of work was needed to get them seated properly and the screws are sliiiiightly to wide so they protrude just a little. But. I think it looks rather smart!

Very smart. I love white grips on a 1911- I have the same AliExpress ones on my E&C- just needed a little Dremel work at the inside tops and bottoms from memory to achieve a snug fit.

Definitely been fun tweaking it today. Fixed it to semi only to run as a dmr. Just need to strip the hop and change that next.

DMRs/snipers are allowed a higher power level for more range, but with a minimum engagement distance and semi-only.

Because getting full-auto'd @ ~2 joules is unkind.

It varies from site to site, but there are legal limits for full-auto and semi-auto. Some sites restrict semi-auto DMRs to ~1.8j* but allow bolt-actions up to 2.3j*. Other sites allow both at the higher limit, some consider DMRs in the same range as AEGs/full-autos.

*I may be wrong on these figures, someone who know better can correct me.

Sure I've posted this before, my local site is 360fps 1.2j for all, except bolt action which is 485fps 2.2j
Doesn't affect me as I don't skirmish much tho.
