Gun picture thread

Oh myyy......?

I haven't been following this, but I'm gonna go back and find details!

Anyway...

This isn't that exciting when it comes to gun pictures, but I'm a happy boy and had to share.

Last year I gave a friend my cheapy Cyma SVD, for servicing and upgrading.

Then life got in the way.

I got a rotator cuff injury, he lost his driving licence (illness, not booze), and what with one thing and another he's had it ever since.

On Sunday I got it back.

Full steel rack piston, 110 spring, different piston head, new hop rubber, hop nub, new set of bushings for the gears, combat union hop.

Its kicking .3s out around 1.4 to 1.5 joules.

I'm on site tomorrow, to continue with our site overhaul, and I'll be giving her a real test for range.

Now all I need is an SVD sling.

Had this in bits due to a dead trigger board for a couple of years, and finally got around to sorting it out.

Acquired a new stock tube and upper receiver rail to complete it, and now have it finished!

Swapped out the gearbox from my full length version which is currently being built up as a DMR to put in this one, along with a PDI 6.05 barrel and 50º Archwick bucking, I'll be looking forward to trying it out!

Brings the total of working VZ58s I have to 4 now.

where did you get the trigger board from? I need to replace mine I think

Lambda Defence with SD kit, Marayama and Archwick GBB's. On Vorsk 6 gas and using .2g BB's we get 340 FPS on the Lambda, 320 on the Archwick and 315 on the Marayama. The Lambda is the softest shooting and could do with some beefier bolt return springs and it's a bit underwhelming to fire. If you are after quality and performance then get the Archwick as it's outstanding. I tried it with 0.3g's and it had no issues lifting them and the hop still had more life in it and I think it probably could do 0.36g BB's out the box.

If the straight mag version is what you want, but on a budget, them Marayama are (or already have) releasing a straight mag version with the spare mags around £25 overseas which is about 1/2 the price of the Archwick mags but sadly I doubt they will be compatible between GBB's.

Oh and the Lambda magwell is annoying as VFC and Raven mags can move forwards and backwards, sometimes releasing a little gas, which is a bit annoying. Some sticky backed foam inside the magwell will sort it.

I don’t think it identifies as a carbine any more ?

Probably the most problematic build I’ve had, but it’s finally done!

Umarex G36C with a custom barrel extension (It’s about .4” too long ?) Kurz style gas block, Ultima H-Key rail, SOTAC (I believe) EOTech and magnifier and a LLM when it arrives.

Stock needs drilling to fit as the Umarex one isn’t correct for the impression, hence it just “resting” and the fire selector markings need removing and replaced with the “SEF”

Reference attached, Luftlandeaufklärungskompanie 260

By full size, I meant the full stock, longer barreled version

Really nice camo job. Did you use netting as your guide lines for the hexagons?

New pew, replacement for my LM4D workhorse. Paired it with a PEQ15, 3x magnifier and RDS and finished it off with a Bifrost BT for flame fun.

Did you manage to remove the twang noise from the nozel spring and recoil spring? If so how did you manage to do it because ive tried putting grease on the sping and it still has a loud twang noise.

Aye, but the others in his pouches look just like my one ;)

Just as well I'm not a stitch counter lol.
