Gun picture thread

After selling off all my MWS’ uppers / lowers / projects I’m now down to one rifle and a bunch a spares…needs a PDW buffer tube if they exist.

TM 17’ & G&P 40 rounder for scale, she’s smoll.

Short inner barrel barely effects range or power output. Can edit for parts list if anybody actually cares ?

Just got my Specna MK18 upgraded by Negative Airsoft and its an absolute machine, however, i'm not sure if i should paint it?

i'd probably go with ranger green and some brown with netting over the gun for the pattern if i did.

Should i do it?
Oohh now your asking a VERY contentious question ! Me personally I think most joe player’s home paint jobs really do look like a mound of poop , very rarely they look any good simply because they just haven’t the skill for it(have a look at Geartech’s pics and then look back though the gun pic thread)to turn out any good . BUT like pretty much everything else in airsoft it’s a case of your gun , you do what you want with it and balls to what everyone else says ! ?

Would love to have one! Where can I find one?

They pop up secondhand from time to time, though Matrix does do batches every now and again. I think I heard they are in batch production now, though that was a few months back so who knows. I turned mine into a DP-28 haha

Geartechs jobs are awesome, even the ridiculous bright nerf style paintjobs look right, no easy feat.

I've painted a few of mine in the past, nothing fancy, which I think is where some guys go wrong, trying too hard if you haven't got the arty farty skills.

Mine were just some random dustings in no particular direction or order , with krylon obviously, as I think that's another area that guys go wrong in, yer Halford etc colours tend to be too bright & too shiny, too artificial, krylon rocks?

Novritsch sell camo gun covers.  I bought a cover that was on sale in the hope it would fit ok, and with a bit of stretching it did, and so the gun looks like this, no permanent painting required:

If you're less stingy than me you could buy the actual M4-compliant cover and it would no doubt be even better, but even this does enough to break up the long horizontal 'slab of black' which can be easily seen at distance. (Your hands and arms will block / break up much of the lower receiver and mag, especially from the front)

I think this illustrates the worth of it pretty well... side-on is the worst case scenario, and at short range the movement gives away much more than shapes... but even at this super close distance, the only thing that really shows up is the magazine, mag well, and sight.
And as someone else mentioned, vertical lines are much more natural than horizontal ones.

The super-easy alternative to the camo cover is to get some green or camo scrim and wrap it around the barrel and fore-end, and tie it on with string or (sniper's) tape.

Very nice, Is the a HPA Aeg mag or this a new GBB  mag I have nto seen bfefore?

Thanks.
I cheated on this picture. It’s a Cyma 130rd MP5 mag but it’s just stuck in the magwell…

Normally there’s a little HPA adaptor between the two called a Tanuki.

You can see it here with a different one of my KC02’s and different MP5 mag just peeking out under the stock

edit: found a better picture of what a Tanuki isView attachment 93453

Thank you, that looks pretty good, I might have to build a KC02 now....

Is that a real 10/22 stock? Looks so good.
