Going about making GBBR VFC KS-3 11.5 in

Hi guys and gals, I'm looking at building a KS-3 11.5 in, preferably using the VFC ecosystem.
I'm just wondering what would be the best way to go about it and would invite anyone with time and experience using and modifying VFC V3 GBBRs for some advice on these matters.

More specifically:
- Using different upper receivers on lower receivers
- Changing the outer barrel and handguard on the VFC KS-1 L403a1 to aftermarket ones to (Angrygun etc.)
and if there are any known problems with doing either of these

I had no idea that VFC were releasing one haha, that would sort the whole thing out hahaha
I've just checked online more and there doesn't seem to be a release date? Don't know if I'm just being silly or what.
