GHK Glock 17 Gen 5 now in at HPA U.K.

HPA have sold out now, although I’am told Defcon still have them at £200. I still have I set of the GHK mounts if anyone wants to add a red dot to the Gen 5.

HPA actually just emailed me saying they can't fulfill my order as they've run out but they've given me the option to wait (they think around 2 weeks).

Sorry you seem to know your way around a glock  ive got a completely stock TM glock 17 gen 3 which I've had for like 8 years and I've always liked the idea of a metal slide, what upgrades would you recommend for it or any specific slides youd use? Or is there any real reason to treat myself to a new gen5?  

In my experience adding a metal slide to a TM gun is a downgrade.  I am the wrong person to ask after using the GHK I would never use a Glock with a hammer again

I've received the same email. Annoyed is not the word. They were showing as having 3 in stock when I ordered mine on Saturday evening. I've noticed that cancelling the order and receiving a refund wasn't one of the options. I did reply initially saying to give me a full refund and I'd look to order from somewhere else, but I've since told them I'll just wait.

That’s bloody annoying, as you said it showed 3 in stock. Lucky that both of you are patient people, I would be going to Defcon and asking HPA for a refund. I’am surprised though, I have purchased from HPA a few times and they have been very good.

They do have a physical store, but they were closed until today I believe. The website was offline until Saturday afternoon so the stock levels should have been accurate if they actually had 3 in stock.

I’ve had a couple of back and forth emails today while at work. It appears their stock levels were wrong. Showed 3 in stock, but actually had none. They’ve had to inform 3 of us today that the orders will be delayed. They did give me the option of a full refund, but as with LMKipper, I’m in no rush for it and I’ll wait as opposed to spending the extra cash. I’ve got some extra bits ordered that’ll take a while to get here. They’ve confirmed they have them on order and should be here within 2 weeks. Possibly earlier.

This is the first time I’ve had issues with HPA, having ordered quite a few things from them. I’m quite happy with how they’ve dealt with the situation in the end, after being quite annoyed initially. It’ll not put me off buying from them in future.

From what i understand stock levels were out because of the annual stock take which was why they were closed over the weekend. Annual stock takes are a pain in the ass for any business tbh but it does give a chance to correct stock levels which were previously incorrect

For sure they won’t price match if out of stock, I also have had them refuse to match as well.

After hearding nothing, I emailed HPA. Said they've not heard anything from the supplier themselves, and might be able to give me an update by the end of the week. Not currently holding out much hope for getting mine before my next game on May 10th ?

Nightmare. I got an email from them on Friday telling me they had them and they had posted mine out. I received it on Saturday. I just assumed they had received a bunch and had sent them out, but they must have only got a couple in. I’m guessing they’re sending them out in order of who ordered first. 
 

Just waiting on my steel slide and barrel being delivered. They’re on there way from Sixmm, hopefully arriving in the next week or so.

Not sure if that makes me feel better or worse! On the one hand, DAMN YOUR EYES MAN! But on the other hand I wish they'd said 'another batch came in and out but you're next' rather than what they actually sent me, which was:

We've tried calling our supplier for an update on there arrival as we've not received any notifications and hes not answered most likely due to it being a monday and mondays are always crazy. So im going say by the end of week for an update, probably wont be but just in case.

I'll be honest, I nearly said 'forget it, give me the refund' after that but I've already ordered some spare mags from elsewhere now.

Just received an email saying it arrived with HPA yesterday and they shipped it today, with expectation it will arrive tomorrow. Turns out I will go to the ball/battlesim.

Bespoke have them at a marginally better £199...still a bit high for me.
