Looking to add a mosfet to my freedom fighter and I have narrowed it down to the 2 aforementioned.

Anyone got experience with both? Or know of pro’s and cons for either?

Or is there one out there I’m missing?

I've got the Merf 3.2 and it's excellent, it features the 3 round burst setting which you can enable/ disable. To fully utilize the 3 round burst setting, you have to chronograph your rate of fire, or if there's a smartphone app that can also measure impulses, then you program the Gate MOSFET to how long it takes to fire off 3 shots for your gun using the pre-programmed timings within the MOSFET.

Have a look on Gates website and compare the features of each decide what you want out of it. Download the manuals for each and do a bit of bed time reading  :D

Make sure you have enough room to fit it into your AEG.

Oh and I highly recommend you re-wire your AEG with thicker gauge silicone wiring (visit component shop) 16AWG I think is recommended, and wire to deans to benefit from it.

Hope this helps.

Hi Chris,

thanks for the response, I have I’m fact done all the recommended above with the Merf and she just fits in.

Not had the chance to skirmish the gun yet, but a few shots at home and a chrono and things look good, the 3rd burst option won it for the Merf
