Food to bring for Milsim

Yank MRE's come with flame less ration heaters you just put a little bit of water in and they take up no extra space really.

Soldier of fortune do 3 MREs for circa £21. They say for a soldier doing physical activity in the field you should have 3 a day so they're like a whole meal but you should be okay get away with the three and maybe some extra snack stuff

see my post above^

much cheaper :)

The self heating tinned foods are really tasty I agree, the curry one is especially good and they do get the food piping hot. They are still quite expensive and a bit bulky though.

Sandwiches, pasties, haribo. Don't overthink it, you're going camping and playing BBwars for a weekend not spending 6 weeks on exercise in the desert.
Most sensible post in the whole thread. One thing playing soldiers another thing eating their sh*tty rations.

I always used to plan to pack MREs for days when the food on site was terrible. However I quickly realised I could do without lunch and becoming dehydrated was more of an issue.

That said if people want to bring out the mess tins etc then I say crack on. Even basic hot food is surprisingly good when you've been out all day, especially when it gets cold.

I never take food. Only need my knife and a piece of string. Eat what I can kill.

Obviously talking ? Before anyone says anythin.

Been mulling this over and if each person in your section brings packet of Pringles , you can not only have a jolly good munch but with some duct tape create a tennis ball mortar out of the tubes for fire support on the move.

Improvise, adapt and overcome lol
