Hey, a couple months ago I decided i would start with a GBBR 😁
I found a classified for a GHK Ak74m (4 mags, zentico furniture and acog) sold and shipped by a Scottish chef.
Now, I had the silly idea to use AI chatbot as my source of advice, it was adamant this was a perfect deal and was the most liquid replica i could get (my single, single, single criteria was resale value and sale liquidity.
I paid 500£ + 200£ in gas, a new nozzle and a cleaning kit etc.
I think this would have been fine if it was a modern GHK replica but instead it seems its a v2 version.
Parts are in extremely low stock, i cant find a new return spring, barely found the nozzle. I tried to undo my mistake and listed it here for 350£
Absolutey zero interest from anyone. am i cooked? do i just take the loss? I kind of need money for my engineering project - alfred-leigh.co.uk/projects
Any advice?

This seems like an advert...? @Tackle

Anyway, people don't want GHK's because as you've discovered - They're shit. You said it came with zenitco furniture etc, part it out and sell it seperately. More people will be interested in the furniture than the gun itself. You will end up losing money, that's just the nature of second hand sales.

You talk about resale value and sale liquidity, airsoft replicas definitely aren't an investment (Aside from some niche old platforms, I guess) 😅

Added the £ after the price. Not before as is the usual way to write it. Definitely feels AI written. Hopefully the AI bots aren't invading us already haha.
That was one of the things which got my bullshit meter twitching. His claim about trying to sell the gun here is also bollocks as his only advert is for a nozzle.
and the fact he's included a link to a site that gives his CV is very strange
Very strange indeed, along with mentioning his other "projects".

Sadly there's already been a few I've spotted. They have a message that mostly makes sense and is with mostly relevance to the topic it comments on and then it ends up divulging into some kind of advert for a website that has nothing to do with airsoft... Wait a minute... 🤣

There has only ever been a V2 GHK AK74M and parts are still available though they're becoming scarce.

But yeah the vibes are off and the whole thing doesn't make sense. Wdym "buy for liquidity," there's no such thing in this hobby. You're exchanging cash, the most liquid asset in human history, for it.

It's a weird post but it makes spelling and punctuation errors that AI doesn't, btw.
