cylinder, barrel concerns

Hi,

My son has just bought a second hand, "unused" SRC G36C gen 2 aeg,

he's also got a g&g green bucking, o-ring nozzle and metal spring guide, to start off,

while fitting these we noticed that the cylinder was NOT ported, the barrel in not tight bore but is only 247mm in length,

should I be concerned??

A ported cylinder would be better but the g36 has a v3 gearbox so it won't break just because of this. Will work, just not on optimum.

Got a Dremel? They're not difficult to port yourself.
