Hmmm its a tricky one, I have had a JG that didn't take certain TM parts, well it would with a bit of tomfoolery. If I could find a cheap JG then if it were me, I would certainly be inclined to try and just sell on the JG if not.
It may also be worth contacting Fire Support, but find out the exact part number first as he will ask for it - he can get parts from TM sometimes and has given me quotes before. The part number can be found on TM's website in the relevant virtual manual, or in the manual that came with it if you still have it.
