so i recently bought some rails and stocks from Asian airsoft sites and had no issues with them. Have you guys ever bought bolts carriers from Asian airsoft stores and had any issues with customs or border force?

Yes and no, never any issue.  Just avoid UPS though as they will continually ask you for a UKARA or other Defence even though one is not needed for those items.

If you have a UKARA, it's worth asking the seller to slap it on the box somewhere nice and obvious anyway,

But yeah the only things you'll really get pulled up on importing are real firearms parts that are pressure bearing, (barrels, gas blocks, bolt carriers, etc). Those ones will get you a nice visit from the police. Furniture and optics are fine.

I've bought BCG's from a variety of Asia sellers (Tiger111HK, RWA, WGC, AST to name a few), never entered anything other than my name/address and they just sail through customs.

I can't add anything much different. I've bought from one from JK Army and I gave my UKARA number and it came though customs without any hassle.

Having previously asking for my UKARA number on non restricted items I just ask the retailer to put my UKARA number on anything Airsoft related. Since then no real issues but UPS is bloody slow processing anything.
I have always done this, but UPS still refuse to use their eyes and demand I fill in one of their stupid declaration forms.  Best to just avoid them as a carrier altogether.  The best carrier I have found (certainly from WGC Shop at least) is EMS
