Bolt Action RIF advice.

Don't buy a bolty 2nd hand, no one sells a good well tuned bolty for the most part, what you see are midrange builds that never quite shot as well as someone liked build it yourself, learn the system inside out and really go the extra mile trying to find consistency. It's worth it.
I am most likely going to buy new if i am going to invest in this option.

Only thing that makes me lean towards getting the TAC41-P is I like the look of the rifle (more like a M40a3), and my TM VSR10 is not in very good condition, which just increases the cost to replace those parts as well.

That's fair I suppose. I'm just in the process of building my 2nd vsr currently, I've opted for a maple leaf mlc-s2 stock for mine as I much prefer a pistol grip personally. I've built this from the ground up, didn't even bother with a base rifle this time round.

Get a steel cylinder and you'd never have that issue.
Thats what I was looking to do when I had the issues to start with, but as I said, this was years ago (2018).

I've got my DMRs now, and they're both fantastic to use, and the parts are just AEG off the shelf.
