BFG Grenades What do people honeslty think of them

Hi Guys,

My little brother recently converted me to Modern Warfare 3 sat infront of the PS3 kinda to Airsofting war junky, so far the tranformartion has been alot of fun and quite inexpensive, but I was looking at buying some BFG grenades, seen them in action, there loud, but wondering are they really worht the investment as 80 quid a poo mean they aint cheap

Any though pro or con would be appreciaited

 
What I would say is "how many flashbangs/nades do you use per skirmish?" If it it is 10 or so, then at £3 per pop after 3 skirmishes the BFG would have paid for itself, if substantially less then its your call.

They hold blanks and make them go bang ;)

 
Got the delay style dynatec... Only used it once so far but i used it 12 times in the game. That would be £36 in single use pyros ....

Deffo worth it. They hold thier value alright so you can just sell them on after getting your money back.

 
They are coming out with a new style BFG, i would wait for that one as they are going to be amazing.

 
I always wondered where you buy 9mm blanks from... Isn't there any kind of law against buying them?

I never use pyros because the strikers are always crap and I end up wasting the pyro and being needlessly down by £2.50, there's probably nothing to go wrong in a BFG, right?

If I didn't have to worry about a striker breaking, it doing damage to me if I accidentally got it caught on my clothing, or setting fire to everything, then I'd probably use pyros quite a lot, so I can see myself getting a hell of a lot of use out of a BFG if I didn't have those things to worry about.

Is the Dynatec the only option? I've been looking around for them and can't find any alternative.

Yeah only BFG most sites can get insurance for is the dynatec. And the delay one is pretty rare atm due to not being produced anymore.

You can buy blanks from most places. Z1 sell them, few other places aswell. Heard you have to sign a waiver and be 18 though to buy the grenades from Z1, not sure about the blanks. Still got 38 left so havnt had to buy any more yet.

 
cheers guys, i thinking in going to wait and check out the new style that is coming out.. Obviouslly the striker options as such do the job, the only thing i dont like about them is burning your finder on them :(

but it would probably be worth investing as the return would be better in the long run.

Wait for the long awaited new ones,as BFG's are fetching £100+ atm,I know I recently sold and I was inundated with offers.

The 6mm blanks are more economical(read cheap) and are readily available.

Nothing can go wrong with these really,they have a habit of going off immediately if you wang tham at something hard.

As I teneded not to use them muchI sold what I had but kept 1,I also have strike pyro's for back-up,the 9mm's bang strikes fear into the uninitiated.... :rolleyes:

 
Was looking around and no-body (even if i wanted the old style BFG's) seems to have instock, it looks im gonna have to wait :(

 
just a though but what are the airsoft innovations Tornado like. i was looking at getting the impact with both the distraction and spoon kit. think it looks pretty cool and the you tube video's seem pretty good too. i know fire support hasve these in stock at the mo!!

You can only find the dynatec delay bfgs 2nd hand on forums now. They have been discontinued for ages now.

Thats the reason for the high prices aswell. Although at this time i've still found mine good value. (£85 for a bfg brilliant condition and 50 9mm blanks).

Just have a look out on forums if you really want one.

the tornado grenades seem to be really bland IMO. very quiet and the bb spread isnt that good. And takes a while to reload.

Guy at my local uses the GR10. Seems to be a good alternative to the BFG.

There is still, no update when the BFGX5 are being released :(

 
I like the look of that GR10 thing, but those things it uses look like a pain to get hold of and screw going all the way to London to buy it all.

 
IT a good job Wolf Amouries are only a 30 Mins Tube ride away from me. I think something to do for the bank holiday :)

 
Love my BFG's, use the primers in them so only £4 for 100 bangs
