Hi, I recently bought a dirt cheap old ARX 160 only to have the gearbox die just after it’s first chrono. Pulling the trigger doesn’t do anything, no noises or anything. I assume it’s a wiring problem.

I intend to completely replace the gearbox with a nice new one rather than faff around with repairing the old one, but the best priced gearbox I’ve been able to find uses a battery attachment that I’m not familiar with.
I’ve attached a screenshot of the new gearbox and a close up of the wiring, plus a screenshot of what I think I need to adapt it to a deans connector (although I’d prefer tamiya)

I’d appreciate it if anyone could give me any advice, thanks!

You need those connectors for an ARX 160 as the cables from the gearbox connect to matching male connectors in the stock hinge.

By the way, Deans connectors are far better than Tamiyas; the larger contact area provides far less resistance than Tamiyas.
